Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka Prediction
The legendary resurgence of Teixeira’s career has been something special to watch. He is 42-years-old and is finally a UFC champion. He has been on top of the division for so long.
He always fell short until he finished Jan Blachowicz in 2021. Then, he was crowned king of the light heavyweight division.
Teixeira has a tall task at hand. Going up against the dangerous Czech martial artist, Jiri Prochazka.
Prochazka is going to enjoy a 4-inch reach advantage. He seems to use this to his advantage in every fight he is in.
For only being 29-years-old, Prochazka has over 30 fights in his MMA career. But, this will only be his third UFC appearance. This is a pretty rare commodity in a fighter’s journey for UFC gold.
His championship level of fighting is no question after seeing two impressive knockout finishes. This included a brutal spinning-elbow KO of former two-time title challenger Dominick Reyes.
If the veteran Teixeira comes out victorious, he will need to weather the storm of attacks from Prochazka. He’ll have to take the fight to the ground.
Prochazka is such an elite, all-around mixed martial artist. This will be a very tough fight for a 42-year-old. But you can not count Glover out.
Best Bet: Prochazka to win inside distance -165
Valentina Shevchenko vs. Taila Santos Prediction

Shevchenko is on the “Mount Rushmore” of UFC women’s fighters. Her speed and technique are unmatched in any of the weight divisions. She also seems to keep getting better every time she steps into the octagon.
The Brazilian Taila Santos will be enjoying a slight reach and height advantage over Valentina. She has not had the same level of opponents as Shevchenko.
However, her skills are easy to see when she is fighting. She achieved her first finish in the UFC last time out against Joanne Wood via rear-naked choke.
I just don’t see anyone beating Shevchenko in the flyweight division. She is just too sharp and too skilled. Santos is a very skilled Muay Thai fighter, but Shevchenko is even better. You can expect to see the famous “Gypsy Soul” dance in the octagon at the end of this one by the current champion.
Best Bet: Under 3.5 rounds +135
Weili Zhang vs. Joanna J?drzejczyk Prediction
A long-awaited rematch to the 2020 fight of the year. What an exciting matchup for MMA.
Weili is the quiet and dangerous mixed martial artist. She’s going up against maybe the biggest star in women’s MMA.
This will be a test if “ring rust” is a factor in Joanna’s performance. Many fighters don’t believe in ring rust, but it will always be talked about. Joanna is so elite that she should be able to make adjustments to the last fight.
She’ll have a good chance of coming out on top in this one. But Weili is so dangerous. I imagine this is going to be fireworks from the jump. They both have a feel for each other’s power, and they seem to be made to fight each other.
Joanna is so confident in her ability and is hungrier than ever to get that belt back. However, Weili is looking to come back strong after two title fight losses to Rose Namajunas.
Best Bet: Joanna to win +135
