We’ve reached the best time of the year for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series – the Playoffs. After a thrilling 18-race regular season, 10 of the sport’s top drivers will now compete for the 2025 Truck Series Championship over the next seven weeks.
Unlike the Cup Series where there are 10 weeks in the Playoffs and 16 drivers, the Truck Series has less drivers and races. However, that doesn’t mean it will be less exciting than the Cup or Xfinity Series Playoffs.
Corey Heim comes in as the large odds-on favorite after dominating the field during the regular season. Can Heim win his first Truck Series Championship or will someone rise up and prevent Heim from taking the crown?
Let’s take a look at the latest 2025 NASCAR Truck Series Championship odds, courtesy of the best sports betting sites, and make our Craftsman Truck Series Championship predictions.

Corey Heim has pretty much led the entire season as the betting favorite to win the Truck Series Championship. He’s been the best driver all season long and, yet, there’s still some value at -140 odds heading into the Playoffs.
Teammates Layne Riggs and Chandler Smith will do their best to dethrone the regular season champ in Heim as they come into the Playoffs as the next two favorites. The biggest drop has been with Ty Majeski, the reigning Truck Champion. He went from +400 to +1400 over the last few months.

Truck Series Championship Favorites
The following drivers are considered the odds-on favorites to win the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship:
Corey Heim
- Wins: 7
- Top 5: 12
- Top 10: 14
- 2024 Finish: 2nd
- Career Best: 2nd in 2024
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Corey Heim was going to be a contender at the start of the season. In fact, I jumped on his bandwagon as my pick to win the Championship this season. At the midway point, I was looking like a genius. And, now, it feels like a foregone conclusion.
Last year, Heim had six wins and 18 Top 10s in 23 races. He finished 2nd to Ty Majeski for the 2024 Truck Series Championship. This year, he already has seven wins, 12 Top 5s, 14 Top 10s and a staggering 6.4 average finish.
Heim has a monumental lead in the Playoff standings and should be able to advance to the Round of 8 as long as he starts each race.
As I said back in May: “This year, Heim is the man to beat. It would take an epic collapse on Heim’s part to miss out on the Championship Race.”
Adding to that, it would take an epic collapse for Heim not to win the 2025 Truck Series Championship.
Layne Riggs
- Wins: 2
- Top 5: 8
- Top 10: 11
- 2024 Finish: 11th
- Career Best: 11th in 2024
At the midway point of the season, Layne Riggs was not doing well. He was down in the standings and had not won yet. In fact, he only had two Top 5s and three Top 10s at that point.
However, I didn’t lose faith in this talented, aggressive driver. In fact, I made the following declaration:
“I fully expect this team to bounce back in the second half of the season and make a run in the postseason.”
That’s exactly what Riggs did. Over the last nine races, Riggs has two wins, six Top 5s, eight Top 10s and nine Top 13s. He ended the regular season with a 9.7 average finish and was the only man with a comparable amount of success as Heim.
I like Riggs’ chances in the Playoffs to contend as I see him making the Championship Race.
Chandler Smith
- Wins: 2
- Top 5: 4
- Top 10: 13
- 2024 Finish: NA
- Career Best: 3rd in 2022
Like Hemric, Chandler Smith didn’t race in the Truck Series last year. Instead, he was in the Xfinity Series where he finished 5th on the season.
Smith’s last full-time run in the Truck Series came in 2022, where he finished 3rd overall. He won three races that season. While Smith is on pace to match or exceed those numbers this year, you have to like his remarkable consistency throughout this season.
Over the last half of the regular season, Smith had one win and seven Top 9s. He closed out the season with 13 Top 10s which is a solid 72.2% Top 10 finishing rate. He also sported a 9.9 average finish.
In May, I made the following statement about the #38 Ford driver:
“As for his chances of winning the Championship, I put him squarely behind Heim but ahead of the rest of the field.”
Since then, Smith has done nothing but confirm this. However, Riggs has pushed his way into the conversation, as well. I have them both on equal footing as we start the Playoffs – behind Heim but ahead of the rest of the pack.
Ty Majeski
- Wins: 0
- Top 5: 5
- Top 10: 11
- 2024 Finish: First
- Career Best: First in 2024
Last year, it took Ty Majeski half of the season before winning races. He then won two in a row. The champ’s third win of the year was the Championship Race, which secured him the trophy. Unfortunately, the reigning Craftsman Truck Series Champion has yet to duplicate that success.
Majeski enters the Playoffs with zero wins and the rest of his numbers are nothing to brag about. In fact, he sits outside of the Top 5 in the Playoff standings and will need a small miracle to break out of the funk that he’s been in all season long.
At the midway point, I was proclaiming that Majeski would bounce back and be a contender. Boy, was I wrong. I am now fading Majeski for the Championship prop bet. He will be lucky to advance out of the first round.
Truck Series Championship Betting Value
The following drivers offer betting value based on their current odds and 2025 Truck Series season to date:
Daniel Hemric
- Wins: 1
- Top 5: 8
- Top 10: 13
- 2024 Finish: NA
- Career Best: 6th in 2016
Daniel Hemric’s career has been all over the map. He returned to the Truck Series this year, after leaving this circuit following the 2016 season. Hemric went to the Xfinity Series where he ran there full time from 2017 to 2023, and won the Xfinity Series Championship in 2021.
Eventually, he worked his way up to the Cup Series. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for Hemric as he ended up 29th. He also did this in 2019, where he finished 25th.
It’s clear that his decision to return to the Truck Series was a good one. Hemric has put together a strong season so far, as he enters the Playoffs in the 4th spot.
Hemric finished the regular season with one win, eight Top 5s, 13 Top 10s, and a 9.4 average finish with just one DNF. In fact, 16 of his 18 starts have seen him finish 16th or higher.
If there’s one driver who can knock one of the favorites out of the Final Four, and the Championship Race, it’s Hemric.
Grant Enfinger
- Wins: 0
- Top 5: 6
- Top 10: 11
- 2024 Finish: 4th
- Career Best: 2nd in 2023
Grant Enfinger finished 4th last year with two victories on the season. He was runner up in 2023, after tallying three wins. For his career, Enfinger has 12 wins, but none this season so far. And, yet, even without a win, Enfinger still secured the 7th spot in the Playoff seeding.
That was due to his consistency with 11 Top 10s in 18 races and a 10.8 average finish.
Considering he’s made the Championship Race two years in a row, I wouldn’t count out Enfinger to pull off that feat for the Playoffs this year, as well. If there’s one driver who can snag a win in the postseason, it’s the #9 truck.
Tyler Ankrum
- Wins: 1
- Top 5: 8
- Top 10: 11
- 2024 Finish: 8th
- Career Best: 8th in 2019 and 2024
At the midpoint of the season, I was declaring Tyler Ankrum a solid value bet for the Championship. He had won a race by that point and also put up some other solid numbers over the first half of the regular season.
In fact, I made the following declaration about Ankrum back in May:
“There is a lot to like about Ankrum this season. I like his chances of competition for a spot in the Championship Race.”
Since then, Ankrum has done nothing to make me think otherwise. In fact he offers even more value now than he did in May as he’s listed at +2800 odds compared to +1800 a few months ago.
Ankrum finished the regular season with one win, eight Top 5s, 11 Top 10s and a 10.8 average finish with just 1 DNF. His consistency has me feeling good about his chances to advance. Ankrum closed out the season with an 8.5 average finish over his last four races.
Top Longshot To Win Truck Series Championship
Rajah Caruth (+4000) has been my longshot pick to win the Truck Series Championship all season long, and I see no reason why I should change that now. After his win at Nashville, I felt pretty good about this prediction.
And, seeing how the season has unfolded, I think there’s a chance for Caruth to make some noise in the Playoffs.
Last year, he finished 7th in the Truck Series standings, which was the best finish of his career to date. Currently, Caruth enters the Playoffs in the 8th spot. However, he has some decent numbers this year that give us hope moving forward.
In 18 races, Caruth has one win, three Top 5s, and nine Top 10s. That’s a 50% Top 10 finishing rate, with three coming in the last one-third of the regular season. He was close to getting another win in Rockingham and Texas, but fell short.
Darlington is going to prove whether or not Caruth can advance to the Round of 8.
Who Will Make The Final Four?
Although there aren’t any odds for this NASCAR prop bet, as of yet, I still like Heim, Riggs, Hemric, and Smith or Ankrum to make the Final Four.
I think Heim and Riggs are the top drivers in the Truck Series at this point of the year. While, Smith is right there with Riggs, but lacks some of the momentum that his teammate does coming into the Playoffs.
Ankrum and Hemric have been solid all year long and provide great betting value for the Playoffs. I would also keep an eye on their odds for the weekly races.
Craftsman Truck Series Championship Predictions
At the beginning of the season, I touted Heim as the man to bet on for winning the Championship. At the midway point of the regular season, I declared that you should bet on him now to capitalize on the plus-money odds:
“I think this is the year that Heim captures his first Craftsman Truck Series Championship. Get his line now while there’s still plus-money odds. They’re only going to shrink even further from this point on.”
And shrink is exactly what his odds did. However, at -140 odds, it still feels like there’s plenty of value for the driver that won seven of the 18 races. He led the Series in wins, Top 5s, Top 10s, laps led, average finish and Playoff Points.
Typically, when that happens, the driver is a large favorite of at least two or three times what Heim’s current line is. I think you should run to your sportsbook and drop big units on Heim to win the 2025 Craftsman Truck Series Championship.
Bet: Corey Heim (-140)
