Jack Hughes won it in overtime, and the Olympic broadcaster’s highlights credit goaltender Hellebuyck as the hero of the game.

Twelve teams played, with Denmark, Latvia, France and host Italy placing ninth to 12th. Finland, the 2022 champion in Beijing, won bronze this time. Slovakia, bronze medalist in 2022, finished fourth.
