Bill Belichick is one of the biggest names in football, so it wouldn’t surprise me if this is just the start of his potential prop bets.

The Bill Belichick betting odds say one thing pretty loudly, though; the top sportsbooks believe he will coach again. And why not? He’s not young, but he should have his top pick for what team he takes over, and he has history in his crosshairs.

You can bet on what team he coaches next, whether his next job arrives in 2025, and whether he gets the most NFL head coaching wins.

On top of that, there are Bill Belichick prop bets detailing his personal life. Regardless which ones interest you most, I’ll walk you through all of my Bill Belichick predictions below.

What NFL Team Will Bill Belichick Coach Next?

  • Dallas Cowboys EVEN
  • New York Jets +400
  • Philadelphia Eagles +500
  • Chicago Bears +800
  • New York Giants +1000
  • Las Vegas Raiders +1000
  • New Orleans Saints +1200
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1200
  • Buffalo Bills +1200
  • Minnesota Vikings +1400
  • Cleveland Browns +1600

The biggest question concerning Bill Belichick’s future is what NFL team will he coach next? It’s obviously possible he’s simply done coaching – he is 72 years old, after all – but I tend to doubt it.

Belichick still has something to offer to the game. That, and he’s still probably interested in adding some more hardware to his resume – not to mention the all-time wins record.

The best current spot to accomplish everything he wants to get done before his career is officially over is probably Dallas.

However, the Cowboys seem to be a bit of a disaster and probably will continue to be for as long as Jerry Jones is around.

The Dallas Cowboys make sense, as they’re very much in “win now” mode, but would Belichick be able to co-exist with someone like Jones? That much is unclear.

Several other teams are viable here, depending on how things shake out in 2024. The New York Jets aren’t off the table, as they could show life this year, but Robert Saleh could still get the ax.

Would Belichick pass up the opportunity to right a wrong and finally coach Gang Green, while also joining forces with Aaron Rodgers in an effort to nab another title? Maybe, maybe not.

The New York Giants would be a return to his old stomping grounds, but they’re also far from contending. The same can be said for most of the teams on this list. That, or they already have a good option on the sidelines.

Dallas makes a lot of sense, but the team I really like is the Chicago Bears.

The Bears have ignited a rapid rebuild over the past few years. They have built an elite offense, with #1 draft pick Caleb Williams seemingly being the final piece to the puzzle.

Chicago’s defense and offensive line have also gotten better, potentially leaving the head coach position as the only real blemish on this franchise. Matt Eberflus isn’t a bad head coach, but his 10-24 record so far might indicate he’s not enough of a difference-maker.

This season is about development, and I think the Bears will use him to further assist in guiding this team through a maturation process. It might end up being Belichick who takes over to get them over the hump, though.

Bet: Chicago Bears +800

Will Bill Belichick Coach in 2024-25?

  • Yes -120
  • No -110

You can definitely make some pretty convincing arguments for Bill Belichick’s next team to be just about any NFL franchise.

It’s Bill freaking Belichick, after all.

At this point, I’d really only rule out a return to the New England Patriots. Any team trying to rebuild the right way should have interest (even though he probably wouldn’t), and anyone serious about contending right now should also give him a call.

I could be wrong about the Bears being Bill Belichick’s next NFL team, but I do think he’ll coach again. The competitive drive probably hasn’t gone away, and I also don’t really believe that “the game has passed him by”.

Belichick’s main issue was that he couldn’t find the right quarterback in the post-Tom Brady era, and he also trusted too many guys to do jobs they probably weren’t properly equipped for.

Regardless of where he went wrong, he’ll want to throw his hat in the ring at least one more time, and it’d be crazy if at least one NFL franchise didn’t pick him up.

Provided someone will give him a chance, there’s little reason to think he won’t give NFL coaching one more go. Beyond the possibility of potentially winning another ring (and showing everyone he can do it without Tom Brady), he also has the all-time coach wins records in his sights.

Belichick is currently just 14 games back from Don Shula for the record. It’s fairly unlikely he’d hit that mark in his first year back, but two more seasons should do the trick.

Will Bill Belichick Break Don Shula’s All-Time Wins Record?

  • Yes -130
  • No -110

I’ll agree that predicting where Bill Belichick coaches next is a guessing game. These other Bill Belichick props, however, feel like free money.

Belichick is no spring chicken, but the fact that the coach wins record is within reach will keep him motivated. Heck, there’s another record he can hit just by showing up; oldest NFL coach in league history.

Regardless, the big one is the chase for 347. Belichick is behind Don Shula with 333 wins, and he needs 14 to tie the record and 15 to break it.

It’s very much within striking distance, even if some people don’t want it to be.

That should require two more years in the league, meaning Belichick would have to coach through age 75. Duke legend Coach K was 75 when he called it quits, and something similar could be in store for Belichick.

Belichick can’t waste anymore time, however. He’s sitting out the 2024 NFL season, but if he doesn’t return to coaching in 2025, breaking the record would suddenly be in doubt.

Luckily, everything points to Belichick having a desire to return to the gridiron. I think that happens in 2025, and by the end of 2026 he should have this record in the bag.

What Will Happen to Bill Belichick First in 2024?

  • To Get Engaged -200
  • To Endorse Donald Trump +200
  • To Be Pictured at Taylor Swift Concert +1000
  • To Be Pictured at the Olympic Games +1000
  • To Be Pictured at US Tennis Open +1000
  • To Announce Fatherhood +1200

These are just a handful of the “first to happen” options over at BetOnline. This is the only sportsbook I’ve seen these Bill Belichick odds, while the bet in general feels a bit restrictive.

Seriously, the other outcomes are barely even worth mentioning. You can bet on him to announce he will be roasted (+1400), while there’s an option for him dressing up as a cheerleader for Halloween (+2500).

The listed Bill Belichick props are the ones I think are somewhat in play.

Of course, the best one is Bill Belichick announcing an engagement. He had a long marriage (from 1977 to 2006) to Debby Clarke, and it’s been a while since he was hitched.

His current girlfriend is quite young, but you just never know what will happen with high-profile celebrity relationships.

At 72, time is running out for Belichick to settle down (again), so it wouldn’t be too crazy for him to pop the question and get married at some point in 2024. Of the offered options, it certainly is the one that makes the most sense.

Truth be told, this is one Bill Belichick prop bet that I’d probably steer clear from. It’s already August as I write this, so there’s only so much time for any of this to come to fruition.

That said, an announced engagement is the only option I’d touch, even at the -200 price.

Betting on Bill Belichick’s Future

Trying to predict what happens to Bill Belichick next is a bit silly. He’s already 72 years old, and humans typically only have 100 years on this planet – if not far fewer.

Belichick will only be relevant for another 10 years or so, but as long as he’s still in play to be a head coach in the NFL, he’ll be worth talking about.

If you’re looking for Bill Belichick props to pounce on, I’d definitely prioritize his return to the league in 2025, and also bet on him breaking Don Shula’s head coaching wins record.

Those both feel like slam dunks, with a prediction for Bill Belichick’s next NFL team being the other prop to consider. That one is a bit more volatile, but I’d feel pretty good about the Cowboys or Bears.

Dallas is admittedly safer, but I think Chicago makes a ton of sense and I love the +800 betting odds for that wager.
