Conference USA Football Odds and Predictions 2026 make Liberty the preseason favorite, but this is one of the most competitive conference futures markets in college football.

Liberty leads the board around +260, followed closely by Western Kentucky at +290. Jacksonville State, Delaware, defending champion Kennesaw State and FIU form a deep second tier capable of reaching the Conference USA Championship Game.

Liberty is the final championship prediction because the Flames combine the conference’s deepest roster with a favorable schedule that avoids Jacksonville State. Delaware offers the best value, while Kennesaw State is the preferred longshot despite significant offseason turnover.

The best win-total opportunity is Delaware over 6.5 victories. Jacksonville State over 7.5 and Sam Houston under 3.5 provide two additional ways to approach the conference without selecting an outright champion.

Conference USA Football Odds and Predictions 2026 Update

The latest Conference USA Football Odds place six teams at +1100 or shorter. That depth separates this race from markets where one overwhelming favorite controls most of the implied probability.

Liberty is favored around +260 despite finishing only 4-8 last season. Western Kentucky is close behind at +290 after recording its seventh consecutive bowl appearance.

Jacksonville State is approximately +525, followed by Delaware at +700. Kennesaw State enters its title defense at +1000, while FIU is available near +1100.

The market correctly identifies Liberty, Western Kentucky and Jacksonville State as the strongest programs. Delaware may provide the best price because the Blue Hens return the conference’s most productive quarterback and a large percentage of their 2025 roster.

Conference USA Teams and Championship Information

Conference USA will operate with 10 football teams during the 2026 season. Each program plays eight conference games, and the top two teams in the final standings advance to the championship game.

The championship is scheduled for Friday, December 4. The game will be hosted by the qualifying team with the stronger conference record and will air at 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

The conference also continues its weekday football schedule. Eighteen league games will be played during October across CBS Sports Network and ESPN platforms.

CUSA Bowl Confidence Index

Conference USA did not release a traditional projected order of finish. It introduced a Bowl Confidence Index based on ballots from media representatives and sports information directors covering the 10 programs.

Jacksonville State, Liberty and Western Kentucky appeared on every ballot. Kennesaw State followed at 85 percent despite losing significant production from its championship roster.

Delaware appeared on 75 percent of ballots, while FIU reached 60 percent. Those results support a six-team championship race with a clear gap before the bottom four programs.

Conference USA Football Favorites

Liberty Flames at +260

Liberty enters 2026 attempting to recover from its first losing season since moving to the FBS level.

The Flames finished 4-8 and went 1-4 in one-score games. Better execution in close situations could create a major record improvement without requiring the roster to become dramatically more efficient.

Jamey Chadwell strengthened the running game by adding Kanye Udoh and Kam Davis. Liberty also returns experienced offensive linemen Aaron Fenimore and D.J. Geth, plus leading tackler Derrell Farrar.

The schedule is another advantage. Liberty hosts Western Kentucky and avoids Jacksonville State during the regular season.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at +290

Western Kentucky remains the most consistent program in the conference. Tyson Helton has produced at least eight victories in five consecutive seasons.

Quarterback Rodney Tisdale Jr. returns after winning Conference USA Freshman of the Year. He threw for 1,432 yards with nine touchdowns while starting the final six games.

The concern is a brutal nonconference opening. Western Kentucky plays at Nevada, Georgia and Indiana before hosting Mercyhurst.

The Hilltoppers later host Jacksonville State and Kennesaw State but must travel to Liberty. Their conference schedule is manageable, but the overall win total is more difficult than the title odds suggest.

Jacksonville State Gamecocks at +525

Jacksonville State has won nine games and reached a bowl during each of its three FBS seasons.

Caden Creel gives the Gamecocks one of the conference’s most dangerous dual-threat quarterbacks. He exceeded 1,500 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in only nine starts last season.

Jacksonville State also returns safety Caleb Nix and kicker Garrison Rippa, the preseason Special Teams Player of the Year.

The schedule creates the primary concern. The Gamecocks visit Kennesaw State, Western Kentucky and Delaware, giving them road games against three of the other five leading contenders.

Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens at +700

Delaware finished 7-6 during its first FBS season and won the 68 Ventures Bowl.

Nick Minicucci returns after leading Conference USA with 3,683 passing yards. He also threw 23 touchdowns and added 10 rushing scores.

The Blue Hens bring back more production than most teams in the conference. Safety K.T. Seay and center Steven Demboski provide experienced leadership on both sides of the ball.

Delaware hosts Liberty, FIU and Jacksonville State. The Blue Hens must visit Western Kentucky and Kennesaw State, but they receive enough major games at home to challenge for a top-two finish.

Why Liberty Is the Conference USA Pick

Liberty is the preferred Conference USA championship bet at +260 or better.

The Flames have the roster depth to rebound quickly from 4-8. Their 2025 record also looks worse because four of the losses came in one-possession games.

Chadwell’s strongest Liberty teams have relied on an efficient rushing attack. Udoh and Davis give the offense two experienced backs behind a veteran line.

The conference draw may be the deciding factor. Liberty avoids Jacksonville State and hosts Western Kentucky on November 21.

Road games at Delaware and Kennesaw State will determine whether the Flames earn the right to host the championship. Liberty does not need to return to its undefeated 2023 form to cash the ticket.

Delaware is the best value at +700.

Minicucci is the conference’s preseason Offensive Player of the Year and gives Delaware a proven quarterback advantage over several more established programs.

The Blue Hens won seven games during their first FBS season despite allowing more points than they scored. Even modest defensive improvement could produce another one or two victories.

Delaware’s path is difficult, but it controls important home games against Liberty and Jacksonville State. The November 28 meeting with the Gamecocks could become a direct championship qualifier.

Best Conference USA Longshot

Kennesaw State is the preferred longshot at +1000.

The Owls completed one of the country’s largest turnarounds in 2025, improving to 10-4 and defeating Jacksonville State 19-15 in the championship game.

Linebacker Baron Hopson returns after setting a program record with 138 tackles. He was selected as Conference USA’s preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

The risk is substantial roster turnover. Kennesaw State returns only a small number of offensive starters and lost several important contributors from the championship defense.

The schedule also includes Jacksonville State, Liberty, Delaware and Western Kentucky. Still, the defending champion offers enough proven coaching and defensive leadership to justify a smaller position at a double-digit price.

Best Conference USA Longshot: Kennesaw State at +1000 or better.

Conference USA Win Total Picks

Conference futures are not the only way to bet the league. Win totals can isolate schedule and roster advantages without requiring a team to win the championship game.

Delaware over 6.5 is the preferred total. The Blue Hens return their starting quarterback and a large percentage of the production from a seven-win bowl team.

Jacksonville State over 7.5 relies on program consistency. The Gamecocks have won at least nine games during every season since moving to the FBS level.

Sam Houston under 3.5 is the primary fade. The Bearkats finished 2-10, allowed 454 points and appeared on only 10 percent of Bowl Confidence Index ballots.

Liberty over 8.5 is a higher-risk position tied to the championship prediction. Nine victories are realistic if the Flames reverse their one-score record and win at least two of their three biggest conference games.

Conference USA Schedule Impact

The eight-game schedule creates meaningful differences between the leading contenders.

Liberty avoids Jacksonville State. The Gamecocks avoid Liberty but must play Kennesaw State, Western Kentucky and Delaware on the road.

Western Kentucky receives Jacksonville State and Kennesaw State at home but plays Liberty in Lynchburg. Delaware hosts Liberty and Jacksonville State while traveling to both Western Kentucky and Kennesaw State.

Kennesaw State faces all five teams priced ahead of or directly behind it. That makes the defending champion’s route more difficult than its +1000 odds initially suggest.

Conference USA Playoff Outlook

The College Football Playoff remains a 12-team tournament for the 2026 season, but Conference USA does not receive a guaranteed automatic bid.

A CUSA champion would need an undefeated or nearly undefeated record, strong nonconference victories and enough selection-committee support to earn one of the remaining positions.

Liberty has the most useful nonconference opportunities at James Madison and Coastal Carolina. Western Kentucky faces Georgia and Indiana, but losing both games would limit its national profile even if it later wins the conference.

Jacksonville State opens at North Dakota State before facing Ohio and Georgia Southern. Delaware plays Vanderbilt, Coastal Carolina and Virginia.

The most realistic projection is that no Conference USA team reaches the playoff. The conference champion is still likely to receive a desirable bowl assignment.

Recent Conference USA Champions

Kennesaw State defeated Jacksonville State 19-15 to capture its first Conference USA championship in 2025.

Jacksonville State won the 2024 title, while Liberty completed an undefeated regular season and won the conference during its first year as a member in 2023.

Western Kentucky has not won the championship since claiming consecutive titles in 2015 and 2016, despite remaining one of the conference’s most consistent bowl programs.

Final Conference USA Football Predictions

Liberty is projected to finish first in the Conference USA standings. The Flames have the deepest roster, an improved backfield and a favorable schedule that excludes Jacksonville State.

Jacksonville State is projected to return to the championship game. Creel gives the Gamecocks a high floor, although their road schedule creates more risk than Liberty’s path.

Delaware is the team most likely to break into the top two. Minicucci should lead one of the conference’s best passing offenses, and several of the Blue Hens’ most important games are at home.

Western Kentucky should remain in contention through November. Its difficult nonconference schedule makes the win total less attractive, but those games do not directly damage championship qualification.

Kennesaw State and FIU complete the bowl-caliber group. Missouri State, New Mexico State, Middle Tennessee and Sam Houston enter with longer postseason paths.
