UFC on ESPN 69 had the look and feel of a major PPV event, as we were blessed with the return of former champion Kamaru Usman in the main event. On top of that, Rose Namajunas also graced the MMA world with her presence, while other big names such as Edmen Shahbazyan and Cody Garbrandt entered the Octagon.

It was a jam-packed event full of epic fights and some insane upsets. If you’re looking for the UFC on ESPN 69 results, I’ll run through who won and lost, while touching on how our UFC picks turned out.

The UFC on ESPN 69 main card did not have a single win via stoppage, but that didn’t stop it from showcasing some legit theatrics – not to mention two huge upsets.

I was all over Rose Namajunas bouncing back and getting a win, while I also correctly called wins for Shahbazyan, Barcelos, and Abdul-Malik. Unfortunately, I felt the surging Joaquin Buckley would take down the seemingly washed Usman, and that Oumar Sy would coast past Alonzo Menifield.

Of course, that wasn’t the case. Usman turned back the clock and controlled the entire fight against Buckley, out-working him en route to a unanimous decision victory. Menifield offered the upset of the night, as he narrowly won each round against the heavily favored Sy.

Seriously, Sy was an absurd -700 betting favorite, so if you placed even a $100 bet on the veteran Menifield, you scored a nice $450 return.

I still had a nice showing on the main card, closing things out with a 4-2 record. As always, though, I suggest you pair my weekly UFC picks with the best handicappers available online, ensuring you make the best bets possible each time out.

The Prelims were a bit more explosive, as we got three knockouts and one battle ended early due to a No Contest. That saw Rodolfo Bellato technically get the win over Paul Craig, while Malcolm Wellmaker, Phil Rowe, and Jose Ochoa all ended their fights early via KO.

The most impressive win of the Prelims was easily Wellmaker, who stayed undefeated by destroying Kris Moutinho in round one.

Overall, I went 5-2 for the Prelims, giving me a 9-4 overall record for UFC on ESPN 69 betting picks. If you rolled with my top bets, you also went 2-1. Across the board, it was a pretty nice UFC betting slate with plenty of winning picks.

But what were the top fights? Let’s take a closer look to see who won Fight of the Night, as well as the Performance of the Night bonuses.

UFC Results: Performance Of The Night Bonuses

  • Fight of the Night: Kamaru Usman vs. Joaquin Buckley
  • Performance of the Night 1: Jose Ochoa
  • Performance of the Night 2: Malcolm Wellmaker

Fight Of The Night

A week after getting four Performance of the Night bonuses and no Fight of the Night bonus, we’re back on track, with the main event delivering in a big way.

It was partially due to it being a terrific 5-round slugfest, but also because we saw a 38-year old Kamaru Usman remind the world that he’s still pretty good at this MMA thing.

Usman did well to keep Buckley’s explosive striking at bay, as he controlled the fight for the majority of the 25-minute bout and put an end to his three-fight skid.

Was it truly the best fight of the night? It’s arguable it wasn’t due to Usman’s approach, but Usman making an emphatic comeback is enough to nab the Fight of the Night bonus.

Performance Of The Night

  • Performance of the Night 1: Jose Ochoa
  • Performance of the Night 2: Malcolm Wellmaker

Jose Ochoa and Malcolm Wellmaker received the Performance of the Night bonuses for dominant efforts that ended in knockouts.

Ochoa’s lasted an extra round, with a KO over Cody Durden coming in round two, but it was still quite convincing. I had Durden pegged as a nice upset pick, but Ochoa took care of business just 11 seconds into round two.

The other Performance of the Night was arguably the best KO of UFC on ESPN 69, though, as big favorite Mowning him as the GOAT of the men’s Bantamweight division.
