This year’s US Open draw arrives on Sunday, August 24th. This will be the first-ever Sunday start for the tourney. The draw process begins with qualifying rounds from August 18th to August 21st, followed by the main draw where players compete through multiple rounds.

The 2025 US Open Men’s bracket won’t be official until August 21st, with the qualifying rounds needed beforehand. Keep an eye on how the draw plays out, however, as the US Open men’s draw could decide how you bet on this year’s tournament.

Where to Watch The US Open Men’s Tournament?

You can attend this year’s US Open men’s tourney live in person at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. For those wanting to simply watch the men’s US Open on TV at home, the Tennis Channel, ESPN2, and ABC will all be offering coverage.

US Open Men’s Final 2024

The 2024 US Open men’s final was the stuff of legends. Kind of. Top-seed Jannik Sinner was always meant to get there, but 12-seed Taylor Fritz was a surprise challenger from the other side.

Sinner unsurprisingly entered as a hefty -430 favorite to secure his first ever US Open title, and he made good on those odds by easily dispatching Fritz in straight sets (6-3, 6-4, 7-5).

While it was one-sided throughout, Fritz’s appearance as a 12-seed made it noteworthy, plus he came into the final with a shot at becoming the first American male grand slam champion in over 21 years.

US Open OddsUS Open Odds
Jannik Sinner (-105)Carlos Alcaraz (+195)
Novak Djokovic (+1600)Jack Draper (+1800)

Jannik Sinner won last year – and did so fairly easily – and he’s been in amazing form ever since. In fact, the last seven men’s tennis majors have come down to either Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz winning.

That fun stat could be a contributor to the long US Open odds for everyone else. Even Novak Djokovic is a tough sell, while last year’s runner-up is priced at a less than inspiring +2200.

I’ll comb through these odds, highlight the top contenders, and suggest some quality value bets before telling you who I think will win. But if you need more advice before placing your 2025 US Open bets, be sure to check out what the best handicappers have to offer.

US Open Men’s Favorites

The following ATP players are considered the odds-on favorites to win the 2025 Men’s US Open:

Jannik Sinner (-105)

It is looking like Jannik Sinner will operate as the clear favorite to win the US Open for the men’s side in 2025, and that should shock nobody after he won here last year.

Sinner has honestly been on fire ever since, as he’s crushed in 2025 en route to the world’s #1 overall ranking in men’s tennis. He’s especially been great in the grand slams this year, as the only one he didn’t win (2025 French Open) still saw him reach the final, while he took first place at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

The full sweep wasn’t to be, but Sinner still has a reputation to uphold and has a chance to take three of four tennis grand slams this season.

Carlos Alcaraz (+195)

If you’re not betting on Jannik Sinner to win the 2025 US Open men’s major, you should probably throw your money at Carlos Alcaraz.

Winner of the 2022 US Open, Alcaraz has the experience to lean on, and we know the 22-year old has the talent. He has now claimed a title in three of four grand slams, while he has enjoyed a strong 2025 campaign with a French Open victory and some deep runs in other tourneys.

The French Open is his lone grand slam win of the season, but Alcaraz has been on point for much of the year, as he got off to a solid start by marching to the quarter-finals in the Australian Open, reached the Wimbledon final, and snagged wins at the Monte-Carlos Masters, and the Italian Open.

A good year could end up being a truly great one, while a possible showdown in the final with Sinner could add to a brewing rivalry. The two have faced off 13 times, but an 8-5 lead in the series just might give Alcaraz the edge if the two play for the US Open title.

Novak Djokovic (+1600)

The value we’re getting with a living legend like Novak Djokovic is undeniably insane. To be fair, he hasn’t given us much reason to lay a lot of cash on him this year, but he’s still The GOAT.

To be more specific, Djokovic – as great as he was/is – is now 38 years old and hasn’t won a tennis major since 2023. This could be a full two-year drought if he’s not careful, and his path to a title isn’t easy with it being likely that he has to take out both Alcaraz and Sinner to make it happen.

The US Open has been a tourney he’s had success in (four championships there), but like all others, he hasn’t won a title in this event since 2023. That was also his first win here since 2018.

Djokovic has had a solid 2025 season, however, as he started off with a solid run at the Australian Open before bowing out due to injury. He’d later nab a win at the Geneva Open, and has been able to reach the semifinals in the last two grand slams this year.

Of course, when he’s run into Sinner lately, it hasn’t gone well. Ultimately, that’s likely his fate again at the US Open. Still, ignoring Djokovic and his +1600 price feels ill-advised.

Best US Open Men’s Betting Value

Considering he just reached the US Open final a year ago, the best betting value for this grand slam has to be Taylor Fritz (+2200). It doesn’t take a rocket scientist – or a tennis betting pro, even – to realize the guy has grand slam-winning ability, and last year’s deep run proves it.

Even more, Fritz is in his physical prime at 27 years old, and last year’s grand slam title match appearance represented his best ever performance at a tennis major.

That doesn’t guarantee a thing, to be sure, but Fritz has enjoyed a strong showing in 2025, as he climbed to #4 in the world and helped the United States secure this year’s United Cup title.

Fritz wasn’t done there, as he had a solid showing at this year’s Miami Open, and then really reminded everyone of the upside he can offer by reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon.

There’s no guarantee Fritz parlays his 2024 run and solid 2025 into a second straight run at the big prize, but at +2200 he’s a solid value bet worth considering.

Top US Open Men’s Longshot

This isn’t the time or place to take a chance on some home run bet. Djokovic and Fritz are honestly as deep as I’d personally feel comfortable going. That said, if you want to swing for the fences (er, the nets), consider taking a stab at Jakub Mensik.

Mensik is definitely not the first guy you think of when trying to predict who will win the US Open, but the 19-year old brings loads of upside to the table. He lacks experience and polish, but he did win the 2025 Miami Open and rose to the World #17 player in June.

Progress has been made by Mensik across all four grand slams, too, but it’s been most visible at the US Open, where he has advanced to the third round in consecutive years.

Could 2025 finally be where he has his big moment and reaches the final or even surprises with a big win? I’ll admit it remains unlikely, but given his talent and price tag, he is a viable longshot bet at most sportsbooks.

US Open Men’s Final

The US Open men’s bracket is not set in stone just yet, so we can’t really know the possibilities as far as who can face off in the last match just yet.

That said, what’s better than a showdown between the two dudes who keep coasting to grand slam titles? Indeed, I am hoping we get a showdown between last year’s champ (Sinner) and the main thorn in his side (Alcaraz).

Alcaraz did win this thing three years ago, too, by the way, so there is precedent for him having high-level success in this tournament. If they both bring their A-game (and the draw has them on opposite sides) then this could very well be the 2025 US Open men’s final.

Men’s US Open Predictions

Novak Djokovic is an icon with a nice +1600 price tag. Taylor Fritz got to last year’s US Open final and has appealing +2200 odds. Carlos Alcaraz has Jannik Sinner’s number and has compelling +190 odds.

But all roads lead me back to Sinner. He has been on fire in 2025 and he is the #1 ranked men’s tennis player for a reason. He’s also favored to get the job done at the US Open, and I can’t find much reason to bet against him.

If I am not backing Sinner, I’d be taking Alcaraz. These two are both 23 or younger and absolutely dominating grand slams these days. I see no strong evidence to support a sleeper pick or any other challenger. One of them will win, and I think it’ll be the dialed in Sinner.

Bet: Jannik Sinner (-105)
