The 2022 Austrian Grand Prix is set for Sunday, July 10 at 9 AM inside of the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Styria, Austria, and will also air on ESPN. Today, we are going to highlight some of the best drivers to win this race and try to pick out the winner!
Who Has A Chance to Win?
The Austrian Grand Prix is one of the most exciting events on the Formula 1 calendar, so let’s begin to talk about the drivers that have a chance to walk away with a win.
Max Verstappen has the shortest odds and seems to be the top dog as he has a -110 odds to win this race and actually won this event multiple times, as he won in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
He has been one of the brightest stars in Formula 1, as he is the youngest driver to score a grand slam in F1 history. He struggled in the British Grand Prix last weekend as he finished seventh but still has a firm lead in the Drivers’ Championship Cup. He has the best chance to triumph at the Austrian Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc is definitely one of the drivers with the best chance of winning, currently priced at +220 to take the W. He has won two races this season (Bahrain Grand Prix and Australian Grand Prix). He struggled in his last race as he finished in fourth place but is still third in the 2022 standings with 138 points on the year.
Carlos Sainz won the British Grand Prix over the previous weekend and has the betting odds listed at +900 to go on and win the event. That was his first victory of the season. He is hoping to build off that here as he is now fourth in the standings with 127 points.
2022 Austrian GP Picks

This seems to be Verstappen’s race to lose at this point, as he has dominated throughout the season. He has the shortest odds by far, and I do not see anyone else taking a win here.
We pointed this out, but he has the ability to dominate and knows the course extremely well, as he has won the Austrian Grand Prix three times in his career.
