March Madness is almost here and you don’t want to miss any of the action. We’re going to analyze the schedule, dates, times, locations and more in our annual preview for the men’s NCAAB tournament.
When Is Selection Sunday 2023?
College basketball fans around the country will be tuning in this Sunday (March 12th 2023) to find out which 68 teams will earn a spot in the 2023 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament.
Selection Sunday will start at 6:00 PM ET. The 68 teams will be seeded from #1 – #16 and split into four regions. Sports fans will be able to start filling in brackets after the Selection Sunday show.
The First Four Games
Eight teams will compete in the First Four games in Dayton, Ohio on March 14th-15th. There will be two match-ups between #16 seeds and two match-ups between #11 seeds.
Once the first four teams are eliminated, we’ll have a finalized 64-team March Madness bracket. Houston, Alabama and Kansas should be #1 seeds. UCLA or Purdue will likely be the final #1 seed.
First and Second Rounds
There are eight host cities for the first and second rounds of the 2023 March Madness tournament.
The first round will run from March 16th-17th and the second round will run from March 18th-19th. These are always four exciting days for bettors, as we have non-stop March Madness action.

Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama
Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa
Amway Center in Orlando, Florida
Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California
MVP Arena in Albany, New York
Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio
Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado
Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina
Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight Dates and Locations for 2023
There are four locations for the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight rounds of the tournament.
The Sweet Sixteen will run from March 23rd-24th and the Elite Eight will run from March 25th-26th. After the Elite Eight, the winners from each region will compete in the 2023 Final Four.

T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (West Regional)
Madison Square Gardens in New York, New York (East Regional)
T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri (Midwest Regional)
KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky (South Regional)
When Is the 2023 Final Four?
The 2023 Final Four is scheduled for April 1st 2023. The Final Four will be hosted at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The two winning teams will compete for the 2023 NCAAB National Championship.
When Is the 2023 March Madness Final?
The Men’s NCAA Basketball National Championship Game is on Monday, April 3rd 2023.
The final will also be hosted at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
