LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are just 2-6 through the first eight games of the year. The 7-1 Cleveland Cavaliers will be in town and the Lakers are pretty big underdogs at home in this one.
There is always added motivation for LeBron James when he is facing the Cavaliers, but that’s even more true now that the Lakers are desperate to pick up a victory. It’s going to take a huge effort from James to keep this game close and that’s exactly what will happen.
Take the over 26.5 points for James as he does all that he can to help his team win this battle.
Steven Adams Under 18.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists (-105)
The 4-5 Washington Wizards travel to Memphis to take on the 6-3 Grizzlies on Sunday night. There will be plenty of young talent on the floor for this match-up, but looking at the player prop betting options for one of the veterans is the best way to go.
Steven Adams is a pretty important piece to the puzzle for the Grizzlies, but his best work is on the defensive end. Adams is averaging over 11 rebounds per game, but he doesn’t always do a ton of scoring or have any assists.
Look at making a combo bet in this game and take the under 18.5 points/rebounds/assists for the veteran on Sunday night.
DeMar DeRozan Over 23.5 Points (-110)
DeMar DeRozan is up to his old tricks with the Chicago Bulls this season and he will lead his team into Toronto to face his old team. DeRozan poured in 46 points in the most recent game and he will be looking to put on a show against the Raptors.
The star forward is averaging 25.6 points per game this season and he is usually someone that you can rely on to get 25+ points. Take the over 23.5 points in this game, as DeRozan and the Bulls will have a big night.
Lauri Markkanen Under 21.5 Points (-115)
The 7-3 Utah Jazz travel to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers on Sunday night for what should be an interesting game. It was believed that this was going to be a rebuilding year for the Jazz, but Lauri Markkanen has had other ideas.
The forward is having a monster season for the Jazz, as he is averaging 22.2 points per game and continues to make big shots. Don’t expect that to continue on Sunday, though, as the Clippers will have plenty of defenders to throw at him.
Take the under 21.5 points for Markkanen, as the Clippers have a big day on defense.
