The Saratoga Race Course’s Grade 1 Alabama Stakes offers $600,000 in total price purse winnings. The race is open to three-year fillies and it covers 1 ¼ miles on dirt. Nest and Secret Oath and the favorites in the running order.

Win: Nest

Trainer Todd Pletcher’s Nest is at the No. 4 post with Irad Ortiz Jr as the jockey. She won the Grade 1 Coaching Club American Oaks at Saratoga on the July 23. The three-year old has finished in first, second or third every time she complete a race.

Secret Oath has a Horse Racing Nation’s 7.85 ratings and she was second in the Coaching Club American Oak. Trained by D. Wayne Lukas and ridden by jockey Luis Saez, the Kentucky- bred filly has competed in the money in eight of the 10 races she’s entered.

Show: Goddess of Fire

The three-year old bred in Kentucky has trainer Pletcher in her corner. She also has jockey John Velazquez leaded the way out of the No. 2 post. Goddess of Fire has ridden for field in four of the last five races to finish in second place.

2022 Del Mar Oaks Predictions

Where: Del Mar Race Track

The Del Mar Oaks is a Grade 1 stakes race open to three-year fillies as well. The turf track is 1 1/8 miles long and the price purse is $300,000. The 14-horse field is featuring Spendarella as a favorite.

Win: Spendarella

The Kentucky’s three-year filly placed second in the Grade 1 Coronation Stake at Ascot Racecourse after leading the way in races at Gulfstream Park and Keeneland. She is the favorite of this race with a 6.62 rating of HRN.

Place: Cairo Memories

Training Robert Hess Jr and veteran jockey Mike Smith want to take an active role in this race. Cairo Memories has a fade to fifth in the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks. That was after winning the Grade 3 Providencia Stake and Honeymoon Stakes at Santa Anita Park.

Show: Lady T

The daughter of Into Mischief and Red Carpet Miss has a first and second place standing in six of the eight races she entered. Lady T holds a respectably 5.56 rating from HRN. She has been trained by John Shirreffs and ridden by jockey Victor Espinoza.
