Following another rousing weekend of basketball, the NBA action continues this Monday, February 13th, with a whopping 11 match-ups on the schedule. If you want to bet on the action, why not keep reading to discover my recommended NBA player props picks for today’s games?
Donovan Mitchell – Over 25.5 Points (-110)
Thanks to a run of six successive wins, the Cleveland Cavaliers have moved up to fourth in the Eastern Conference. On Monday, the Cavaliers host the San Antonio Spurs, who find themselves second from bottom in the Western Conference following 12 consecutive losses.
Donovan Mitchell has played a key role in Cleveland’s recent upturn, notching 59 points across his previous two appearances. Given the contrasting form of Cleveland and San Antonio, I’m confident that Mitchell will register over 25.5 points at home.
Terry Rozier – Under 4.5 Assists (-130)
The Charlotte Hornets occupy last place in the Eastern Conference, having lost 43 of their 58 games this season. Following back-to-back wins, the Atlanta Hawks will be confident of heaping more misery on struggling Charlotte Spectrum Center.
Terry Rozier has been a bright spot in an otherwise gloomy campaign for the Hornets, but the guard looks set to endure a difficult evening when the Hawks come to town. Rozier has recorded over 4.5 assists in just three of his last nine outings, so I expect Atlanta to keep him quiet on Monday.
Joel Embiid – Over 33.5 Points (-115)
Following another standout display against the Brooklyn Nets, Joel Embiid boasts the best points-per-game average in the NBA this season. The Philadelphia 76ers superstar racked up 37 points last time out, meaning he now averages 33.4 points per game in 2022-23.
Thanks largely to Embiid’s exploits, the 76ers find themselves third in the Eastern Conference. By contrast, the Houston Rockets sit rock bottom of the Western Conference. For that reason, backing Embiid to notch over 33.5 points on Monday makes a lot of sense.
Nikola Vucevic – Over 11.5 Rebounds (-130)
Only four players have a better rebounds-per-game average than Nikola Vucevic this season. The Chicago Bulls center averages 11.4 rebounds per game in 2022-23, having registered 11+ rebounds in each of his previous eight appearances.
After racking up 17 rebounds in back-to-back outings against the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets, Vucevic added 14 to his ever-growing tally against the Cavs last time out. With that in mind, I’m confident that he will achieve over 11.5 rebounds against the Orlando Magic.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Over 31.5 Points (-110)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 44 points when the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Portland Trail Blazers last time out. As a result, only three players have a better points-per-game average than the in-form Oklahoma guard this season.
Averaging 31.0 points per game in 2022-23, Gilgeous-Alexander looks destined to enjoy even more success against the New Orleans Pelicans. The 24-year-old has notched 30+ points in eight of his last 10 outings, so I’m confident that he will record over 31.5 points on Monday.
