MLB Home Run Props Picks for Wednesday, June 1st 2022

The 2022 MLB season is just about one-quarter of the way complete. There have been some surprises including the White Sox and Blue Jays both not leading their divisions after having been picked to win them.

There is still plenty of baseball left to be played though. What is not surprise is the play of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees. Both teams lead their respective divisions and remain among the favorites to win this year’s World Series.

They also have some big-time home run hitters. Will any of these sluggers hit a dinger today? Here are the top MLB home run props picks for Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Yordan Alvarez – OVER 0.5 (+300)

Astros vs. Atheltics Predictions

An AL MVP candidate, Alvarez is third in the majors with 14 homers so far this season. He’s hitting .266, has 28 RBIs, and his .930 OPS ranks 11th in MLB.

Today, Alvarez and the Astros go up against Oakland and starting pitcher Cole Irvin. Irvin has had two quality starts in a row and has an ERA of 3.13, but Alvarez has hit the A’s pitcher well.

In nine at-bats against Irvin, Alvarez is batting .556 and has hit a homer off of him already. Houston goes for the sweep of Oakland today and Alvarez chips in with his 15th home run of the season.

MLB Over/Under Odds

Freddie Freeman – OVER 0.5 (+450)

Braves vs. Diamondbacks Predictions

The former NL MVP Freeman has just a single dinger since the beginning of May. He only has four this season. Freeman is batting .303 and he’s in MLB’s top-20 in RBIs with 29.

The Dodgers lost the first two games of their series with Pittsburgh. L.A. would like to avoid a sweep to one of the poorer teams in the National League.

Freeman will lead the charge against Pirates starting pitcher Jose Quintana. The Pittsburgh left-hander actually sports a very respectable 2.15 ERA.

In ten at-bats against Quintana, Freeman is batting .300 and is one of three Dodgers who has homered off the Pirates pitcher. Freeman starts off June with a blast.

Eugenio Suarez – OVER 0.5 (+425)

Mariners vs. Orioles Predictions

Suarez is due. The Mariners third baseman hasn’t homered since doing so on consecutive days on May 22 and 23.

Tonight, Suarez and his Mariners teammates go up against Baltimore again. Last night, Seattle put up 10 runs in a 10-0 win.

Suarez will face Baltimore starting pitcher Kyle Bradish who has a ridiculous 7.31 ERA and he is giving up 2.22 home runs per nine innings.

Suarez has nine homers on the season. He’ll add to that total tonight.

MLB Over/Under Picks

Bo Bichette – OVER 0.5 (+425)

White Sox vs. Blue Jays Predictions

Bichette is seeing the ball very well right now. Over the past week, he has hit safely in six straight games. In five of those games, Bichette has had multiple hits. In an 11-10 win over the Angels on Sunday, Bichette homered.

He has seven homers for the season. Tonight, he’ll face Michael Kopech whose 1.29 ERA is very misleading. His xFIP is 4.60 and his walk rate is 11.8 percent. Kopech hasn’t given up a home run yet this season. Bichette gets the first.
