We analyze the MLB over/under odds for Tuesday and have identified the top four best bets in this market.
Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates
Best Bet: Under 7.5 Runs
The Pittsburgh Pirates have been on a major slide. Pittsburgh has lost eight of its past ten games. They will enter the series with first-place Milwaukee facing Brewers’ ace Corbin Burnes.
Bryse Wilson, who is 1-6 with a 6.31 ERA, will be on the mound. He isn’t a great look for the Pirates on its face.
However, Wilson has been better since he rejoined the MLB from the Triple-A roster in early July. In his first start back, Wilson threw six innings of two-run ball against Milwaukee in a 7-3 Pittsburgh win. Burnes has made two strong starts against the Pirates this season.
With two pitchers who have played well against their opponents on Tuesday, expect this one to stay under 7.5 runs.
Seattle Mariners at New York Yankees
Best Bet: Under 7.5 Runs
Jameson Taillon got blown up during his first two starts in July. The New York Yankees pitcher allowed 11 runs during his first two starts of the month. However, Taillon has started to show some of the forms he demonstrated earlier in the season.
Over Taillon’s past three starts, he has only allowed three runs in 14.2 innings of work. Seattle pitcher Logan Gilbert has had a strong season overall. Gilbert is 10-4 with a 2.78 ERA so far this year. Gilbert has struck out 118 batters in 123 innings of work.
Over Gilbert’s past five starts, he has allowed two or fewer runs in four of his past five starts. This is a game that should go under the total of 7.5 runs.

Kansas City Royals at Chicago White Sox
Best Bet: Over 7.5 Runs
The Royals’ pitching staff has been among the worst in MLB this season. Kansas City’s staff as a whole has compiled an ERA of 4.66, which ranks 27th in the league. With the Royals facing a Chicago Sox lineup desperate for a turnaround over a 2-1 loss, it could be Kansas City starting pitcher Brad Keller who pays the price. Keller is 5-11 on the season with a 4.18 ERA.
Keller has allowed seven runs in his past two starts. White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito has struggled to find a rhythm during this season. Giolito is 6-6 on the mound but has a 5.14 ERA.
Teams have found success with the longball against Giolito, hitting 18 home runs this season. Both Keller and Giolito have issued 40 and 36 walks this season, respectively. Expect this game to go over the 7.5 total.
Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants
Best Bet: Over 8 Runs
Tyler Anderson’s ascent from former journeyman to top-of-the-rotation stud has been a stunning transformation. So far this year, Anderson is 11-1 for the Dodgers, including a 2.61 ERA. Meanwhile, Giants starter Alex Wood is 7-11 on the season with a 4.11 ERA.
San Francisco ranks eighth in the league in scoring, producing 4.62 runs per game. The Giants’ offense relies heavily on power, ranking 10th in the league with 118 home runs. However, San Francisco has a .235 batting average, which ranks 23rd in the league.
Los Angeles has had a ton of success at the plate this season. They rank second in the league by scoring 5.21 runs per game.
The Dodgers have also connected on 130 home runs, which ranks seventh in the league. Los Angeles and San Francisco should see this total go over eight runs.
