The 2022 Major League Baseball campaign continues its race for the halfway mark as teams, and players vie for positions and awards.
The Houston Astros used a late comeback against the Kansas City Royals Monday night to secure their seventh straight win, marking the league’s longest active winning streak, while the Boston Red Sox earned a bit of separation in the second spot in the American League East with a convincing win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
Here are the best player props to bet on Tuesday.
Sandy Alcantara Under 7.5 strikeouts (-152)
Alcantara has had a brilliant season thus far and is the odds-on favorite to win the Cy Young award in the National League; however, he is not quite a strikeout savant, and his total of 7.5 will be hard to come by against a Los Angeles Angels team that, despite being wildly inconsistent, has other-worldly hitting talent that can get to any pitcher in the league.
Alcantar also averages just around .84 strikeouts per inning and would have to go a near-complete game to mathematically cover his total, so the under is the best bet.
Kyle Schwarber to Record an RBI (+100)
Schwarber is the de facto offensive leader for the Philadelphia Phillies in Bryce Harper’s injury-induced absence, and although he has not recorded an RBI in his last three outings, his team-high in the category, as well as home runs, would imply that he is due to bounce back soon.
He will also have a great opportunity going against a terrible Washington Nationals team and a Paulo Espino that, despite posting decent numbers, only recently began starting games.
Aaron Judge to Hit a Home Run (+250)
Judge leads the league with 29 home runs, but beyond that, he has the New York Yankees’ team-high in batting average and RBIs, showing that he is also extremely consistent.

He and the pinstripers will face a lowly Pittsburgh Pirates team that will feature Jose Quintana— who has given up five home runs in his last four appearances— on the mound.
All the Yankees do is hit home runs for fun, and with their advantage in the individual and team matchups, Judge seems like the most obvious benefactor.
Luis Arraez to Record 3+ Bases (+270)
The league’s leader in batting average (.348) recorded three hits his last time out, has hit two doubles in two of his last three games, and has a batting average of .471 in July.
The Minnesota Twins’ catalyst will also get a decent matchup against Michael Kopech, who is only 2-5 despite having a 2.78 ERA and 1.03 WHIP.
More conservative bettors could opt for 2+ bases and still get positive odds, but Arraez has earned the confidence for three.
Yusei Kikuchi Over 3.5 Hits Allowed (-130)
Paging: the Toronto Blue Jays. The preseason World Series contenders have now lost four in a row, including a 5-1 loss to the Oakland Athletics on the Fourth of July, and fallen to 44-37 on the year.
Kikuchi is not exactly the man that the Jays would pick to lead them out of their slump with his 6.30 ERA and 1.30 WHIP, and with the team’s confidence nearing an all-time low, the league’s worst offensive team in Oakland may actually find more success Tuesday night.
