The 2022 Major League Baseball season is set to continue with its exciting storylines and thrilling on-field play with another slate of games on Tuesday.
The Atlanta Braves are beginning to resemble the team that made a late-season surge to the World Series in 2021, now that they are on a 12-game winning streak, while the New York Yankees continue to hold the league’s best record at 44-16.
However, the game, at the end of the day, is all about the players— so here are the best player props to bet on during Tuesday’s action.
Manny Machado to Get an RBI (-125)
Machado is the foremost offensive threat in a Padres lineup that does not include Fernando Tatis Jr., whose injury has prevented him from appearing this season.
Machado has been consistent as ever, leading the team in batting average, home runs, and, yes, RBIs, and San Diego is now one win away from taking sole control of the National League West.
They are likely to give Tuesday’s game against the Chicago Cubs all that they have, setting Machado up to tee off against a struggling Kyle Hendricks (2-5, 5.22 ERA).
Aaron Judge 2+ Hits (+210)
Bettors are getting a lot of value with the Yankees’ leader in batting average having +210 odds of recording 2+ hits, a feat which he accomplished in each of his last two outings.
The Yankees are also going against the Tampa Bay Rays’ Corey Kluber, whose 3.88 ERA is only a little above average at best. New York is back on another win streak, this one reaching four games, and they will go as far as their offensive leader carries them.
Chris Bassitt 6+ Strikeouts (-136)
Bassitt has an average of just under 1.1 strikeouts per inning this season, one in which he is averaging a little under six innings per outing.
Bassitt’s New York Mets are also taking on the Milwaukee Brewers, who, despite their regular-season success, are just 25th in batting average and have little in the way of any explosive factor, which should set him up for a solid outing on the mound.
Shohei Ohtani to Homer (+330)
Ohtani started the season very poorly but has rebounded since, hitting home runs in two of his last three games and significantly improving his batting average; the Japanese product also recently took the team lead for RBIs as his confidence continues to grow and his performances continue to improve.
The Dodgers are susceptible right now, coming off of a three-game losing streak, so it would not be a surprise to see someone leave the yard against them Tuesday evening.
Kris Bubic Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+106)
Bubic has a terrible 9.13 ERA and a record of 0-3 in his third season. He is also averaging just 2.25 strikeouts across his eight appearances and twice has been knocked out of the game within the first inning.
The Giants are hot, having just dominated the Dodgers, and could easily get at him early and knock him out of the game without anything to show for it.
