Best MLB Sportsbooks

Yesterday saw four shutouts and three more teams, including the Dodgers, held to one run. That comes from quality pitching.

Today, we break down the best MLB strikeouts props picks for Saturday, June 18th 2022.

German Marquez – Over 3.5 Ks (-185)

Marquez is just 3-5 with a 6.05 ERA this season and some of his lack of success comes from pitching at Coors Field, one of the more hitter-friendly ballparks in the majors.

Today though, Marquez is on the road in San Diego. The Padres have been hitting the ball extremely well, but this total for Marquez seems a bit low.

In 12 starts this season, Marquez has gone Over this number nine times. He’s gone Over 3.5 in each of his three starts in June and his last start came against these same Padres. He struck out six.

MLB Over/Under Odds

Cal Quantrill – Over 3.5 Ks (-140)

Cleveland has won each of Quantrill’s last three starts. He’s gone at least six innings in all but his first two starts of the season.

Quantrill’s last start was one of his best. He went six innings, gave up four hits, and just one earned run. He struck out four in a 6-3 win over Oakland.

He will face a tough lineup in the Dodgers tonight, but L.A. strikes out an average of 8.13 times per game.

Quantrill has gone Over this prop in three of his last five starts.

Aaron Nola – UNDER 6.5 Ks (-140)

The Phillies have won each of Nola’s last three starts, but Nola has been hit and he hasn’t hit this prop yet in June.

On June 1, Nola gave up five earned runs to the Giants and in his last start he gave up six hits and two earned runs to Miami. In his three starts this month, Nola has 6, 6, and 5 strikeouts.

The Nationals are one of the better hitting teams in the majors. They are top-5 in batting average and they don’t strike out much. The Nats strike out the third-fewest times per game (7.34) in MLB. Back the Under here.

MLB Over/Under Predictions

Taijuan Walker – UNDER 4.5 (-110)

Walker pitched a gem in his last outing against the Angels. He went six innings and gave up one earned run and struck out 10 to push his record to 4-2 this season.

The 10 strikeouts were an outlier. The most Walker had prior was six. He now has 37 strikeouts for the season in 52.2 innings.

Today, he goes up against a Miami team that does strikeout 8.89 times a game, but Walker just isn’t a strikeout pitcher. He’s gone Under this prop in eight of his ten starts this season. He’ll go Under again.
