It’s almost hard to believe the Los Angeles Angels have lost nine straight games. In their last four games, the Angels lineup has scored a total of three runs. Can they break out of that slump today?
Across town, the Los Angeles Dodgers have taken two games from the New York Mets already. That is making up for dropping a home series to the Pirates.
The Dodgers are the top scoring team in MLB while the Mets are third. Which team goes Over their team total today?

Pittsburgh – OVER 4.5 (+105)

The Pirates are by no means a power house, but they have been scoring some runs. Pittsburgh has gone Over this prop in each of the last four games with run totals of 6, 8, 5, and 6. Three of those were against the Dodgers.
Pittsburgh will face Arizona pitcher Zach Davies today. Davies is a decent pitcher, but he has an ERA of 4.84. In his last three starts, Davies has allowed 3, 4, and 5 runs.
Interestingly, the total has gone Over in four of the last five D-Backs-Pirates games. Pittsburgh goes Over this team total today.
Cincinnati – OVER 4.5 (-135)
The Reds aren’t very good, but they do produce full game Overs. Their O/U record for the season is 28- 22-1. In the first two games of this series, the Reds have scored 5 and 8 runs.
Today, they will face Washington pitcher Erick Fedde. His ERA in his last start was a ridiculous 40.50. For the season, Fedde’s ERA is 4.60. His 1.53 WHIP is one of the worst in the majors. It’s the same for his 11 percent walk rate.
Cincy will work Fedde over and then get a shot at the Washington bullpen which will put them Over 4.5 today.
L.A. Angels – OVER 3.5 (+100)
The Angels are in the midst of a slump. They have lost nine straight games and got absolutely smoked yesterday losing 10-0 to Philadelphia, a team that just fired its coach.
Despite the losing streak, the Angels offense has to turn around some time. They don’t have Anthony Rendon and Taylor Ward left the game yesterday. Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout are still two of the best in the game.
The Angels will face Michael Lorenzen who is having a good year. Lorenzen is 5-2 with a 3.19 ERA. In his last two wins, Lorenzen allowed just one earned run in 13 innings. The problem is that both wins were over Oakland, the worst offensive team in baseball.
L.A. can do enough to break out of their scoring slump and go Over this prop today. The Angels average 4.49 runs per game.
L.A. Dodgers – OVER 4.5 (-125)
The Dodgers are the top scoring team in the majors averaging 5.42 runs per game. They put up six yesterday in a win over the Mets.
Tonight, the Dodgers face Mets pitcher David Peterson. On paper, Peterson appears to have solid numbers. He’s 2-0 and has a 3.03 ERA.
Peterson is coming off a start in which he allowed four earned runs in 4.2 innings and it was against Washington.
Ten of the last 14 Dodgers home games have gone Over the full game total. This one may too, but the Dodgers go Over 4.5 tonight.
