The New York Yankees have won four straight and go for No. 5 today against AL East rival Tampa Bay. New York continues to maintain the best record in baseball.
The Dodgers continue to have the best record in the National League. L.A. has won eight of its last ten games. They will be in action today against NL West foe Arizona.

New York Yankees – OVER 3.5 (-125)
The Yankees have Gerrit Cole on the hill today which should tame Tampa Bay for at least the first five or six innings.
Backing Cole is a lineup that is sixth in runs per game (4.72) and No. 1 in home runs per game. Aaron Judge leads the majors with 17.
It helps that the Yankees are 6-1 SU in their last seven on the road and 7-2 SU in their last nine games against the Rays in Tampa.
New York won the first two games of the series scoring seven runs in the first game but only two yesterday. The Yankees will go up against Tampa’s Corey Kluber, who has given up 12 earned runs over his last three starts (a total of 12 innings). The Yankees can get four runs here.
Los Angeles Dodgers – OVER 5.5 (+105)
The Dodgers take on Arizona and starting pitcher Merrill Kelly. Eleven of the Dodgers last 16 games have gone Over the game total.
That’s because L.A. is averaging 7.0 runs per game over its last ten. In the first two games of this series, the Dodgers have scored 20 runs.
Eight Dodgers hitters have at least 10 at-bats against Kelly. Six of them bat .333 or better. One other, Cody Bellinger, hits .294 and has two homers against Kelly.
It’s a big number at 5.5, but the Dodgers lead the majors averaging 5.69 runs per game. They hit the number again today.
Chicago White Sox – UNDER 4.5 (-125)
The White Sox will face city rival the Cubs tonight. The Cubs will start Keegan Thompson who has a 1.54 ERA in three starts and 10 overall appearances. Thompson is 4-0 this season.
The White Sox struggle against right-handers like Thompson. Plus, they will not have Luis Robert who is out due to COVID.
The White Sox rank 27th in runs per game averaging 3.66 and they rank 25th in OPS (.649). Thompson won’t go deep in the game and the Cubs bullpen checks in right around the league average. The underperforming White Sox struggle against the right-handed Thompson and end up going Under tonight’s total.
Philadelphia Phillies – OVER 4.5 (+115)
Philadelphia averages 4.57 runs per game. That ranks ninth in the majors. Last night in a loss to the Mets, the Phillies scored six runs.
The Phillies will face Mets P Taijuan Walker who is 2-0 with a strong 2.70 ERA. Walker has faced Philadelphia three times already this season. The Mets lost two of them.
In his last start against the Phillies, Walker allowed nine hits and seven runs, six of them earned. The total has gone Over in four of Philadelphia’s last five games and in eight of their last nine games on the road. Tonight’s total of 8.5 suggests these two teams are going to put up some runs.
Philadelphia is averaging nearly five runs per game over its last seven. They go Over 4.5 tonight.
