It’s Week 25 of the 2022 MLS season and 12 matches will take place on Saturday. LAFC is still the class of the West Division with a 16-3-4 record and an MLS-best 51 points.
Philadelphia continues to lead the East with a 12-9-3 record and 45 points. Both the Union and LAFC will be in action on Saturday. Will their winning ways continue?
Here are the best MLS predictions for Saturday, August 13th 2022.
FC Dallas vs. San Jose Earthquakes
PICK: FC DALLAS -125
San Jose hasn’t won a match in five straight. The Earthquakes last win came on July 13 when they beat the LA Galaxy 2-1. Since then, they have lost three matches and have two draws. As a result, the Earthquakes are just one-point ahead of West Division last-place Sporting Kansas City.
FC Dallas, on the other hand, is third in the West Division standings. The Texans are 9-9-7 and have 36 points. Dallas has lost just once in its last five matches and is well on its way to securing a top-7 finish. San Jose’s playoff hopes are dwindling.
Dallas takes care of the Earthquakes at home.
Austin FC vs. Sporting Kansas City
PICK: AUSTIN FC -170
It’s almost a given in MLS this season. Play Sporting Kansas City and get a win. That’s what will happen on Saturday as Austin hosts the West Division’s last-place team.
Austin has just one loss in its last ten matches, winning six with three draws. Sporting KC has 14 losses in its 25 matches thus far. They are 22 points behind Austin in the standings. That is the direct result of having the worst offense in MLS and the third-worst defense.
Only LAFC has more points than second-place Austin FC this season. They will take care of Sporting KC on Saturday.
Inter Miami CF vs. New York City FC
PICK: NEW YORK CITY FC +130

Inter Miami CF has lost 10 of its 24 matches so far in 2022, but they haven’t lost since July 23. That loss came against New York City FC, the Florida club’s opponent on Saturday.
NYCFC, the defending MLS Cup champions, lost 3-2 to Columbus last week. It was the team’s first loss since June. NYCFC is second in the East Division standings with a 12-6-5 record. They trail Philadelphia in the standings by three points, 45 to 42.
New York City has won all five matches the club has played against Inter Miami since the team joined MLS. Saturday will make it six.

Houston Dynamo vs. CF Montreal
PICK: CF MONTREAL +180
Houston has lost three straight and has just one win since the end of June. That win was over San Jose, which is one of two teams below the Dynamo in the West Division standings.
CF Montreal sits third in the East with a 12-4-8 record and 40 points. They are the better team here and will win despite playing on the road.
