Tuesday’s playoff slate in the NBA features a trio of Game 2 matchups. Along with the betting lines for each game, you can also wager on any number of individual NBA player props to add even more excitement to the action on the court.
The following are my three ‘best bet’ picks for Double-Double props for all three showdowns on Tuesday night’s betting board.
Jayson Tatum Double-Double Prop Pick
Boston Celtics at Brooklyn Nets Preview
The Nets are set as 9.5-point home favorites to take a 2-0 series lead after winning the opener 104-93 on Saturday as eight-point favorites at home.
Brooklyn’s Kevin Durant ended Game 1 with 32 points and 12 rebounds as game highs in each category. Interestingly enough, his odds to post another double-double tonight favor NO at -275.
The Oddsmakers believe it is James Harden’s time to shine with -143 odds he posts a double- double. The odds for NO are +112. Harden came close on Saturday with 21 points and nine rebounds.
My best bet for this game is Boston’s Jayson Tatum with +300 odds he posts a double-double in Game 2. The Celtics will be playing with a higher sense of urgency to avoid the 0-2 series hole.
I like Tatum to raise the bar a bit higher after leading his team with 22 points in Game 1 while dishing out five assists.
Anthony Davis Double-Double Prop Pick
Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns Preview
Phoenix has a chance to take a 2-0 series lead on the defending champs after winning Game 1 on Sunday 99-90 as a 2.5-point home favorite. The Suns are set as 1.5-point home underdogs.
Devin Booker had the hot hand for Phoenix on Sunday with a game high 34 points. He added eight assists and seven rebounds to his box score totals. DeAndre Ayton did post a double- double with 21 points and 16 rebounds. His odds to post another one tonight favor YES at -159. The odds for NO are +122.
The best value in this prop goes to the Lakers’ Anthony Davis at +130 for YES. He is coming off a poor performance on Sunday looking for redemption and a 1-1 series tie in Tuesday’s contest.
Everyone expects LeBron James to go off after scoring 18 points with 10 assists in the series opener. However, I think Davis will be the difference in a Lakers’ win after being held to 13 points on Sunday with seven rebounds.
Kawhi Leonard Double-Double Prop Pick
Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Clippers Preview
The Mavericks took the surprising 1-0 series lead by beating the Clippers 113-103 in Saturday’s opener as six-point road underdogs. LA is favored by 6.5 points at home for Tuesday’s nightcap.
It is no big surprise that MVP favorite Luca Doncic led all scorers in Sunday’s upset with 31 points while adding 10 rebounds and 11 assist to post a triple-double for Dallas. His odds to post just a double-double in Game 2 are set at -155 for YES. The odds for NO are +120.
Once again, I am looking at a player on the team that needs to win this game for the best value. The name at the top of that list is Kawhi Leonard at favorable +155 odds to post a double- double for Los Angeles.
As an elite player, Leonard has the proven ability to elevate his game to a higher level when his team needs a win. He ended Game 1 with a team-high 26 points and 10 rebounds in the losing cause.
