Check out our Celtics vs. Warriors game 2 preview.
Let’s take a look at some prop bets!
Stephen Curry – Over 28.5 Points
Stephen Curry is coming off a huge performance in Game 1, as he dropped 34 points on 12-of-25 shooting from the field.
The Warriors are going to play their usual brand of basketball where they try and open up Curry with tons of ball screens and give Curry the green light the minute he crosses the halfcourt line. Curry is also tremendous at moving off the ball, so expect the Warriors to look out for him in those instances.
The Warriors certainly hope to even up this series, so expect them to continue to plan their offensive game plan around the two-time MVP and get him going in Game 2.
Jayson Tatum – Over 26.5 Points
Jayson Tatum had a forgettable Game 1, as he managed to score just 12 points on 3-of-17 shooting from the floor.
This was his first-ever Finals game, so nerves may have played a bit of a factor, but he was also targeted by the Warriors’ best defenders, who also played a part in slowing him down.
However, Tatum is as cool, calm, and collected as they come, as he knows how to control the pace of the entire game with his ability to create his own shot. Expect him to bounce back in Game 2 and hit the over.
Klay Thompson – Under 19.5 Points
Klay Thompson has looked sharp in his first season back after dealing with two injuries that could’ve very well derailed his career.
However, it’s a bit unfair to ask him to carry the same offensive load he was once capable of carrying during the heart of the Warriors’ dynasty, but that’s not to say that he can’t be a productive player on a good team.
He managed just 15 points in Game 1 on 6-of-14 shooting, so expect him to stay in that ballpark.
Al Horford – Over 11.5 Points
Game 1 was the Al Horford show, as he put up 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including six 3-pointers.
It could be hard to expect him to replicate this type of performance in Game 2, but with the prop listed this low for him, expect him to hit the over, especially given his ability to shoot the three and play bully ball down in the post.
He has also proved to be too difficult for Draymond Green to capably defend him.
Andrew Wiggins – Over 16.5 Points
Andrew Wiggins has truly emerged as a go-to scorer for the Warriors, especially when the game slows down and the ball doesn’t move around the horn at the zip that leaves opposing defenses in a trance.
With Wiggins’ ability to shoot the three and create his own shot in the mid-range, expect him to hit the over in this one.
