The 2021-22 NBA season is entering its final stages. Teams in both conferences are still jockeying for their final playoff positions. A number of teams are still working on avoiding the play-in tournament.
Last week, teams collectively slowed down the pace and the result was more Unders than Overs. Last week’s totals went 29-22 to the Under as average scoring (223.3 ppg) was lower than the previous week.
It’s possible that pace is slowing down as teams prepare for playoff speed. Despite that notion, the top Over/Under picks for Tuesday, March 29, 2022, include a number of Overs.
Chicago Bulls vs. Washington Wizards
Best Bet: OVER 223
The Wizards have trended Over all season with a 39-33-2 O/U mark. Washington is a huge Over team at home where their O/U record is 24-13.
Washington ranks 18th in scoring defense giving up 111.5 points per game. The Wizards are one of the rare teams that gives up more points at home (113) than they do overall.
The Bulls just lost to the Knicks last night and their defense has been awful as of late. Prior to last night’s loss, Chicago gave up 126, 126, 129 and 125 points in their previous four losses.
In a game pitting two poor defenses, the Over is the pick.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Philadelphia 76ers
Best Bet: OVER 228.5

The Sixers usually don’t see totals like this, but they are facing a Milwaukee team that is averaging 122 points a game over its last ten. Philly’s defense is giving up 110 points a game over its last ten.
Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo are two of the top scorers in the NBA. Add in James Harden, who doesn’t play defense, and you have the perfect ingredients for the Over.
In five of the last six trips to Philadelphia, Milwaukee has seen the total go Over against the Sixers. Overall in the series, nine of the last 13 game totals have resulted in the Over.
There is a reason why this total is a high one. This game goes Over tonight.
LA Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks
Lakers vs. Mavericks Predictions
Best Bet: OVER 219
Dallas is one of the top Under teams in the NBA. The Mavs O/U record is 25-48-2 overall this season. At home, that record stands at 9-28-1.
Dallas is No. 2 in scoring defense allowing just 104.1 points per game. They also play at one of the slowest paces in the league.
Despite that, this game goes Over. The Lakers trend Over with a 42-32 O/U record for the season. Their last five games have seen the following totals: 224, 247, 251, 246, and 251. Four of those five games saw the Over cash. Seven of the Lakers last ten games have resulted in the Over.
Even if LeBron James doesn’t play, remember that the Lakers defense is giving up 120.7 points per game over their last three.
