We have seven NBA games to get our teeth into this Thursday, with four division leaders – the Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat – taking to the court.
Thanks to the sheer number of high-profile players in action, there are plenty of exciting NBA player props to take advantage. Read on to discover my NBA picks for Thursday, February 2nd, 2023.
LeBron James – Over 7.5 Assists (-135)
As one of the greatest basketball players of all time, LeBron James is renowned for dominating the court and producing high-level performances on a freakishly consistent basis. In recent times, however, the legendary 38-year-old stood out for his assists.
After notching 11 assists against the San Antonio Spurs, LeBron chalked up eight against the Boston Celtics, before adding 11 to his tally against the New York Knicks last time out. Accordingly, he shouldn’t struggle to record over 7.5 assists against the Indiana Pacers.
Jimmy Butler – Over 1.5 Steals (-140)
No player averages more steals per game than Jimmy Butler this season. Indeed, the Miami Heat guard averages 2.1 steals per game in 2022-23, while his team sits at the summit of the Southeast Division.
Earlier this month, Butler racked up five steals against the New Orleans Pelicans. Having registered three steals in each of his previous two outings, Butler looks set to grab over 1.5 steals against the New York Knicks on Thursday.
Nikola Vucevic – Over 12.5 Rebounds (-110)
It is no secret that the Chicago Bulls have struggled for consistency in 2022-23. However, Nikola Vucevic has remained consistent throughout the season – chipping in with points, assists and rebounds on a regular basis.
Only four players average more rebounds per game than Vucevic right now. Averaging 11.1 rebounds per game, the giant Montenegrin is destined to record over 12.5 rebounds against the lowly Charlotte Hornets.
Luka Doncic – Over 34.5 Points (-120)
Occupying fifth place in the Western Conference, the Dallas Mavericks will be confident of crushing the New Orleans Pelicans, who head to the American Airlines Center on a seemingly unstoppable nine-game losing streak.
Dallas’ Luka Doncic racked up a whopping 53 points against the Detroit Pistons last time out, enhancing his status as one of the best forwards in the NBA. Given New Orleans’ struggles, I can see Doncic running riot on Thursday – recording at least 35 points.
Brook Lopez – Over 6.5 Rebounds (-130)
Brook Lopez has played a key role for the Milwaukee Bucks this season, helping his team to cement first place in the Central Division. Lopez’s rebounds have been especially important of late, as he notched eight against New Orleans before registering 11 against Charlotte last time out.
Boasting a five-game winning streak, the Bucks hosts the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. I’m confident that the Bucks will extend their winning run on home soil and I’m also confident that Lopez will rack up over 6.5 rebounds in the process.
