We have a host of intriguing NCAA basketball match-ups to enjoy on Wednesday, with top-two battles taking place in both the Southeastern Conference and Big East Conference. Read on to discover my top college basketball picks for Wednesday, February 15th.

The top two teams in the Southeastern Conference do battle on Wednesday, as the Tennessee Volunteers host the Alabama Crimson Tide at Thompson-Boling Arena. The bookies favor Tennessee to triumph on home soil, but I can see Alabama upsetting the odds.
Not only have the Crimson Tide lost just one of their previous 14 games, but they have also lost just three of their 25 outings this season. The Volunteers, meanwhile, have a record of 19-6 following a run of three losses in four games. That’s why I’m backing Alabama +3.
Xavier Musketeers at Marquette Golden Eagles

Best Bet: Marquette Golden Eagles -5.5 (-110)
Funnily enough, the top two teams in the Big East Conference are also locking horns on Wednesday. The Marquette Golden Eagles (20-6) find themselves at the summit of the standings, with the Xavier Musketeers (19-6) occupying second place.
While the Golden Eagles have lost just two of their last 13 games, the Musketeers have lost three of their previous seven. The Golden Eagles are the in-form team in this match-up, so I’m backing them to cover the spread on home soil.
Virginia Cavaliers at Louisville Cardinals

Best Bet: Virginia Cavaliers -17 (-110)
This match-up brings together the top and bottom teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Boasting a record of 19-4, the Virginia Cavaliers are flying high at the summit. At the opposite end of the standings, the Louisville Cardinals (3-22) are miles behind every other side.
Since Virginia has claimed 16 more wins than Louisville this season, the hosts look destined to suffer another heavy defeat on Wednesday. Granted, -17 may feel like a big deficit to make up, but I’m confident that the Cavaliers will thrash the Cardinals.
Indiana Hoosiers at Northwestern Wildcats

Best Bet: Indiana Hoosiers -1 (-115)
Having both registered 18 wins and seven losses this season, the Indiana Hoosiers and Northwestern Wildcats find themselves side by side in the Big Ten Conference. That said, the Northwestern Wildcats have struggled for consistency in recent times.
Not only have the Wildcats lost two of their last five encounters, but they have also lost four of their previous ten. Since the Hoosiers have won eight of their past nine games, I’m backing the visitors to edge the hosts on this occasion.
San Diego State Aztecs at Fresno State Bulldogs
San Diego State vs. Fresno State Predictions
Best Bet: San Diego State Aztecs -8 (-110)
The San Diego State Aztecs find themselves atop the Mountain West Conference following a run of seven wins in eight outings. When you look at the bigger picture, the Aztecs have won 20 of their 25 games this season.
On the flip side, the Fresno State Bulldogs (9-15) sit second from bottom in the standings. With seven defeats coming in their previous ten games, the Bulldogs look set to suffer a heavy loss at the hands of the high-flying Aztecs.
