Two of the strongest teams in college basketball are set to take to the court this Wednesday, with the Purdue Boilermakers and Tennessee Volunteers headlining an action-packed midweek schedule.

You will be pleased to learn that I have scoured the odds to find the best NCAA basketball picks for today’s games. Without further ado, here are my recommended NCAAB betting picks for Wednesday, February 1st.
Penn State Nittany Lions at Purdue Boilermakers
Best Bet: Purdue Boilermakers -10 (-110)
The Purdue Boilermakers are the top-ranked team in college basketball right now. Not only have they won each of their last eight games, but they have also won 21 of their 22 games this season – meaning they sit miles clear atop the Big Ten Conference.
Meanwhile, the Penn State Nittany Lions find themselves seventh in the standings with a record of 14-7. Following a run of four losses in seven outings, Penn State looks destined to suffer a heavy defeat against Purdue.

Providence Friars at Xavier Musketeers
Best Bet: Providence Friars +3.5 (-110)
There is very little to separate the Providence Friars and Xavier Musketeers at the moment, as both sides have registered 17 wins and five losses this season. As a result, they are among a group of four teams in the Big East Conference with 17 victories in 2022-23.
That said, the Friars have won each of their last three games, while the Musketeers have lost two of their previous four. Since Providence defeated Xavier on two occasions last year, I recommended backing the Friars to cover the spread on Wednesday.
Tennessee Volunteers at Florida Gators
Best Bet: Tennessee Volunteers -5.5 (-110)
Having won 18 of their 21 games this season, the Tennessee Volunteers find themselves second in the Southeastern Conference – just behind the Alabama Crimson Tide, who have played a game more than Tennessee.
At the opposite end of the standings, the Florida Gators occupy tenth place. The Gators suffered a 14-point loss to the Kansas State Wildcats last time out, so the Volunteers shouldn’t struggle to make up 5.5 points on their way to victory at the O’Dome.

Georgia Bulldogs at Auburn Tigers
Best Bet: Auburn Tigers -12 (-110)
The Georgia Bulldogs head into Wednesday’s game against the Auburn Tigers on a run of three defeats in four outings, meaning they have now lost seven of their 21 games in 2022-23.
Although the Tigers have lost each of their last two games, they remain five places above the Bulldogs in the Southeastern Conference with a record of 16-5. With that in mind, I’m backing Auburn to clinch a high-scoring victory over Georgia.
Villanova Wildcats at Marquette Golden Eagles
Best Bet: Marquette Golden Eagles -7 (-110)
With eight victories coming in their previous nine outings, the Marquette Golden Eagles are soaring at the summit of the Big East Conference. When you look at the bigger picture, the Golden Eagles have won 17 of their 22 games this season.
By contrast, the Villanova Wildcats have a record of 10-11. Having lost six of their last nine games, the Wildcats look destined to suffer a heavy defeat to in-form Marquette.
