There is a full slate of games set for Saturday, April 16, and that provides some great betting opportunities. Here are the best NHL bets for that day, and there are four different betting types included.
Moneyline: Seattle Kraken -125
The inaugural season for the Seattle Kraken has not gone well, and you won’t see them as betting favorites very often. Seattle hosts New Jersey on Saturday night, and the Devils haven’t been much better.
Both teams have really been struggling of late, and the Devils and Kraken have both struggled to get stops. New Jersey has been a solid offensive team, but it will be Seattle that find the offense in this one.
Take the Kraken -125 as they get a rare win on Saturday night.
Puck Line: Calgary Flames -1.5
The Calgary Flames enter Saturday night in first place in the Pacific Division, and they have been on a tear of late. Calgary hosts the Arizona Coyotes, and this game is an absolute mismatch on paper.
Arizona is scoring just 2.45 goals per game this season while allowing 3.7 goals per night. Calgary is a team that scores 3.5 goals per game, and that offense should have little trouble in this one.
This game is going to get out of hand early as the Flames break it wide open. Taking Calgary at -1.5 is the way to go in this matchup.
Game Total: Capitals / Canadiens Over 6.5 Goals
The Washington Capitals love to play fast, and their games over the past few weeks have been high-scoring affairs. Washington scored nine goals in a win earlier this week and also allowed seven goals in a recent loss.
Montreal has been an absolute mess on defense as they are giving up 3.8 goals per game. This is going to make for a long night for the Canadiens as they won’t be able to stop the Capitals.
Washington might get seven goals on their own, but this total will go over 6.5 either way.
Parlay: Kings ML / Avalanche ML
Blue Jackets vs. Kings Picks / Hurricanes vs. Avalanche Picks
If you are looking to make a two-team parlay for games on Saturday night, then you need to look at a couple of matchups out West. The Colorado Avalanche host the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Los Angeles Kings host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Colorado-Carolina game has the potential to be a Stanley Cup Finals preview. Both teams have at least 104 points on the year, but the Avalanche are simply too tough to beat at home.
Los Angeles is a tough team to figure out, but all they keep doing is winning. Columbus has been playing better of late, but that team just gives up too many goals.
Take the Avalanche and Kings to both win at home in a two-team parlay.
