Following another exhilarating batch of NHL match-ups on Friday night, we have nine games to enjoy – and bet on – this Saturday, January 7th. If you’re looking for the best NHL player props for Saturday, look no further!
Many of the league’s top players will be in action this weekend, including the European duo of David Pastrnak and Artemi Panarin. Both men feature in my recommended NHL players props picks for Saturday, along with three other in-form players.
David Pastrnak – Over 4.5 Shots on Goal (-110)
No player in the NHL has racked up more shots on goal than David Pastrnak this season. Indeed, “Pasta” has registered 188 shots on goal in 38 outings for the Boston Bruins – meaning he averages 4.95 SOG per game in 2022-23.
After notching six SOG against the Buffalo Sabres on New Year’s Eve, Pastrnak achieved five SOG when Boston beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-2 on Thursday. With the Bruins flying high atop the Atlantic Division, Pastrnak looks destined to enhance his SOG tally against the San Jose Sharks.
Jordan Kyrou – Over 0.5 Points (-200)
Blues vs. Canadiens Predictions
On Saturday, the St. Louis Blues travel north to face the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre. The Blues have won three of their last four games, while the Canadiens find themselves rock bottom of the Atlantic Division following seven straight losses.
Jordan Kyrou has picked up more points than any other St. Louis player this season, recording 19 goals and 19 assists. Having claimed five points across the past three games, Kyrou shouldn’t struggle to notch over 0.5 points against lowly Montreal.
Jared McCann – Over 0.5 Points (-105)
Kraken vs. Senators Predictions
Thanks to a three-game winning streak, the Seattle Kraken have moved up to third in the Pacific Division. By contrast, Seattle’s next opponent – the Ottawa Senators – find themselves second from bottom in the Atlantic Division.
Given the gulf between Seattle and Ottawa, I expect Jared McCann to extend his hot streak on Saturday. The Kraken forward has racked up four points in his previous three appearances, so I’m confident that he will register 0.5 points against struggling Ottawa.
Artemi Panarin – Over 0.5 Assists (-115)
Rangers vs. Devils Predictions
Only five players have accumulated more assists than Artemi Panarin this season. The New York Rangers superstar has chalked up 34 assists in 40 outings, meaning he averages 0.85 assists per game in 2022-23.
Boasting a three-game winning streak, the Rangers face the New Jersey Devils in the “Battle of the Hudson River” on Saturday. Since the Devils have lost four of their last six outings, I can see Panarin adding to his every-growing tally of assists at Prudential Center.
Mark Stone – Over 0.5 Points (-190)
Kings vs. Golden Knights Predictions
It’s first against second in the Pacific Division on Saturday, as the Vegas Golden Knights host the Los Angeles Kings at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights head into the clash on a three-game winning streak, while the Kings have lost two of their previous three encounters.
Mark Stone has been racking up points for run lately, contributing 13 points across the past seven games. With Vegas and LA experiencing contrasting form at the moment, Stone looks set to pick up even more points this weekend.
