Matthew Tkachuk – Over 1.5 Points (-120)
Sharks vs. Panthers Predictions
Following impressive victories over the Boston Bruins (4-3) and Tampa Bay Lightning (7-1), the Florida Panthers will be confident of dispatching the San Jose Sharks, who find themselves second from bottom in the Pacific Division with one of the worst records in league.
Florida’s Matthew Tkachuk recorded five points against Tampa Bay last time out, notching two goals and three assists. Having racked up 11 points across his previous four appearances, Tkachuk shouldn’t struggle to register over 1.5 points against lowly San Jose.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins – Over 0.5 Points (-200)
Of course, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl grab most of the headlines for the Edmonton Oilers, but Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has also been immense this season, averaging 1.22 points per game and 2.35 shots on goal per game in 2022-23.
On Thursday, the Oilers face the Philadelphia Flyers, who sit second from bottom in the Metropolitan Division. Nugent-Hopkins has chalked up nine points across the last five outings, so I’m confident that he will add to his tally against off-form Philly.
Jack Hughes – Over 4.5 Shots on Goal (+115)
Only two players – David Pastrnak and Timo Meier – have registered more shots on goal than Jack Hughes this season. The New Jersey Devils superstar has notched 229 shots on goal in 50 appearances, meaning he averages 4.58 SOG per game in 2022-23.
Hughes racked up a whopping nine shots on goal when the Devils beat the Vancouver Canucks earlier this weekend. The Devils have now won nine of their past 11 games, so I expect Hughes to enjoy plenty of success against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.
Brock Nelson – Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-130)
Canucks vs. Islanders Predictions
The New York Islanders head into Thursday’s clash with the Vancouver Canucks on a four-game winning streak. The Islanders have now claimed 27 victories this season, while the Canucks have picked up 20 wins, losing six of their previous eight outings.
Brock Nelson has been a standout performer for the Islanders of late, averaging 0.9 points per game and 2.85 shots on goal per game across the past 10 clashes. Having chalked up nine shots on goal in his previous three appearances, Nelson looks destined to notch over 2.5 SOG against lowly Vancouver.
Chandler Stephenson – Over 0.5 Assists (+130)
Golden Knights vs. Wild Predictions
Chandler Stephenson has accumulated five assists across the last six games, grabbing a goal and an assist in the Vegas Golden Knights’ 5-1 victory over the Nashville Predators last time out. Next up, the Golden Knights face the Minnesota Wild.
The Wild have dropped to fourth in the Central Division following a run of five losses in seven games. With the Golden Knights back at the summit of the Pacific Division, I can see Stephenson enhancing his tally of assists on Thursday.
