NHL Player Props Picks for Thursday, March 2nd 2023

With a total of 10 games to enjoy and bet on this Thursday, March 2nd, there is no shortage of NHL player props to take advantage of. Lucky for you, I have trawled the odds to find the best picks for today’s games. Ready? Let’s go!

NHL Sportsbooks

Matthew Tkachuk – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-155)

Predators vs. Panthers Prediction

Having won seven of their last 10 games, the Florida Panthers will be confident of overcoming the Nashville Predators at FLA Live Arena. After all, the Panthers claimed an impressive 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning last time out.

Following another dominant display, Matthew Tkachuk has now racked up six shots on goal in each of his previous three outings. Averaging 4.7 SOG across the past 10 games, Tkachuk shouldn’t struggle to register over 3.5 shots on goal against Nashville.

NHL Odds

Mika Zibanejad – Over 0.5 Points (-180)

Senators vs. Rangers Prediction

Mika Zibanejad has recorded five points in his past three appearances, bagging two goals and three assists. As a result, the New York Rangers superstar now averages 1.07 points per game this season, making him one of the deadliest players in the league.

The Rangers find themselves third in the Metropolitan Division following back-to-back wins, so they will fancy their chances of dominating the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. Accordingly, Zibanejad looks set to extend his scoring streak on home soil.

Patrice Bergeron – Over 0.5 Assists (+150)

Sabres vs. Bruins Prediction

Carrying an eight-game winning streak into Thursday’s clash against the Buffalo Sabres, the Boston Bruins occupy first place in the Atlantic Division. When you look at the bigger picture, the Bruins have won 47 of their 60 encounters this season.

Patrice Bergeron chalked up two assists when Boston defeated the Calgary Flames last time out, meaning the 37-year-old has registered four assists across the past four games. That’s why I’m backing the experienced Canadian to grab another assist against Buffalo.

NHL Picks

Jamie Benn – Over 0.5 Points (-160)

Stars vs. Blackhawks Prediction

Jamie Benn has bagged two points in three of his previous four appearances. After chalking up a goal and an assist against the Chicago Blackhawks, Benn notched two assists against the Vegas Golden Knights before grabbing a goal and an assist against the Vancouver Canucks.

It’s top against bottom in the Central Division on Thursday, as the high-flying Dallas Stars face the lowly Blackhawks once again. Since Benn produced an excellent performance against Chicago last month, I’m confident that he will add to his points tally at United Center.

Kirill Kaprizov – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-150)

Wild vs. Canucks Prediction

Having won seven of their last 10 games, the Minnesota Wild occupy second place in the Central Division. Meanwhile, the Vancouver Canucks find themselves third from bottom in the Pacific Division, making Minnesota the favorite to triumph on Thursday.

Only 10 players have registered more shots on goal than Minnesota’s Kirill Kaprizov this season. The Russian racked up eight SOG against the Columbus Blue Jackets last weekend before notching six against the New York Islanders, so I’m backing him to record over 3.5 SOG against Vancouver.
