NHL Player Props Picks for Tuesday, February 7th 2023

The regular season is back in full swing following the NHL All-Star Weekend and we have six games to get our teeth into on Tuesday, February 7th. Accordingly, I have trawled the odds to find the best NHL player props picks for today’s match-ups. Ready? Let’s go!

NHL Sportsbooks

Nikita Kucherov – Over 1.5 Points (-130)

Sharks vs. Lightning Picks

Only two players – Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl – have registered more points than Nikita Kucherov this season. Having racked up 73 points across 49 appearances, the Tampa Bay Lightning superstar averages 1.49 points per game in 2022-23.

After notching two points against the Minnesota Wild last month, Kucherov added three to his tally against the Boston Bruins. The Russian has recorded seven points in his previous four outings, so I’m backing him to achieve over 1.5 points against the lowly San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.

NHL Betting Lines

Nathan MacKinnon – Over 4.5 Shots on Goal (-110)

Avalanche vs. Penguins Picks

Mikko Rantanen often grabs the headlines for the Colorado Avalanche and rightly so. However, it could be argued that Nathan MacKinnon has been Colorado’s most important player this season, chipping in with points on a consistent basis throughout the campaign.

MacKinnon has also registered more shots on goal than any other Avalanche player in 2022-23. Averaging 5.19 shots on goal per game this season, MacKinnon has notched 4+ SOG in six of his last nine appearances, so I expect him to record over 4.5 SOG against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Oliver Bjorkstrand – Over 0.5 Points (+120)

Kraken vs. Islanders Picks

Not only have the Seattle Kraken won three of their last five games, but they have also won 11 of their previous 15. As a result, they find themselves at the summit of the Pacific Division ahead of Tuesday’s game against the New York Islanders.

Oliver Bjorkstrand has enjoyed plenty of success for Seattle of late, chalking up four points across his previous three outings. With that in mind, I’m backing Bjorkstrand to enhance his tally and maintain his hot streak against the struggling Islanders.

Expert NHL Predictions

Connor McDavid – Over 0.5 Goals (-145)

Oilers vs. Red Wings Picks

What can I say about Connor McDavid that hasn’t already been said? The Edmonton Oilers superstar is on course to clinch his third successive Art Ross Trophy, having racked up more goals (41) and more assists (51) than any other player in the NHL this season.

On Tuesday, the Oilers face the Detroit Red Wings, who find themselves second from bottom in the Atlantic Division following a run of five losses in eight games. Since McDavid has scored in four of his past five outings, he shouldn’t struggle to grab a goal against off-form Detroit.

Roman Josi – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-125)

Golden Knights vs. Predators Picks

The Vegas Golden Knights have slipped to third in the Pacific Division after suffering four consecutive defeats. Meanwhile, the Nashville Predators have moved up to fifth in the Central Division, courtesy of three straight victories.

Consequently, I can see in-form Nashville enjoying success against the Golden Knights on home soil. Given that only seven players have registered more shots on goal than Nashville’s Roman Josi this season, I’m confident that he will notch over 3.5 SOG on Tuesday.
