Jack Hughes – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-150)
Only three players have chalked up more shots on goal than Jack Hughes this season. The New Jersey Devils center has registered 260 shots on goal across 58 appearances, meaning he averages 4.48 SOG per games in 2022-23.
Thanks largely to Hughes’ exploits, the Devils have climbed to second in the Metropolitan Division, with the Toronto Maple Leafs visiting Prudential Center on Tuesday. Granted, the Maple Leafs are enjoying a solid season, but Hughes looks destined to record over 3.5 SOG on home soil.
Brock Nelson – Over 0.5 Points (-200)
Sabres vs. Islanders Picks
Brock Nelson has racked up 12 points in his last 10 outings, notching over 1.5 points on three occasions during that period. As a result, the New York Islanders center now averages 0.94 points per game this season, making him the Islanders’ second-most productive player in 2022-23.
On Tuesday, the Islanders host the Buffalo Sabres, who have lost three of their last four games, and eight of their previous 14. With that in mind, I’m confident that Nelson will exploit struggling Buffalo and add to his points tally at UBS Arena.
Kirill Kaprizov – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-140)
Kirill Kaprizov finds himself 11th on the SOG leaderboard after registering 244 shots on goal this season. Having notched 25 shots on goal across his previous four appearances, the Minnesota Wild winger now averages 3.87 SOG per game in 2022-23.
Following a run of four straight wins – and eight victories in 10 games – Minnesota occupies second place in the Central Division. Last time out, the Wild beat the Calgary Flames 3-0, so I can see the team – and Kaprizov – enjoying more success against Calgary on Tuesday.
