Premier League Gameweek 23 Predictions

It’s time to lock in your Premier League predictions for Gameweek 23. Below, I share my top five EPL picks for this weekend, combining moneylines, handicaps and over/under markets to give you the best possible chance of making a profit.

Premier League Bookmakers

Crystal Palace vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Best Bet: Brighton & Hove Albion to Win (+100)

Only two teams – Brentford and Nottingham Forest – have picked up more points than Brighton & Hove Albion across the past five games. Consequently, the Seagulls are flying high in sixth place – 10 points clear of Crystal Palace.

By contrast, Palace find themselves second from bottom in the five-game form table, having taken just two points from a possible 15 since the turn of the year. Following victories over Everton (4-1), Liverpool (3-0) and Bournemouth (1-0), Brighton should make light work of Palace.

Premier League Picks

Fulham vs. Nottingham Forest

Best Bet: Under 2.5 Goals (-120)

Nottingham Forest heads to Craven Cottage on a five-game unbeaten streak in the league, having claimed three wins and two draws since their last loss. Interestingly, each of their past five outings have produced under 2.5 goals.

It is also worth noting that four of Fulham’s last five league matches have dished up under 2.5 goals. All the signs point towards a low-scoring clash between these two sides, so I recommend opting for the under 2.5 goals wager here.

Leicester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Best Bet: Over 2.5 Goals (-130)

Having drawn 2-2 with Brighton before defeating Aston Villa 4-2, Leicester City heads into Gameweek 23 on the back of two high-scoring encounters. As a result, 13 of Leicester’s 21 league games this season have produced over 2.5 goals.

Incidentally, Tottenham Hotspur is the third-highest scorer in the Premier League this term. Given that Leicester has the third-worst defensive record in the division, we are destined to see over 2.5 goals at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

AFC Bournemouth vs. Newcastle United

Best Bet: Newcastle United to Win (-182)

Newcastle United has suffered a solitary defeat in 21 Premier League outings this season, picking up 10 wins and 10 draws along the way. On top of that, the Magpies boast the best defensive record in the division, having conceded a measly 12 goals.

At the opposite end of the table, AFC Bournemouth sits second from bottom – 23 points behind fourth- placed Newcastle – having suffered nine losses in 11 matches. Needless to say, Newcastle should make light work of Bournemouth.

Manchester City vs. Aston Villa

Best Bet: Manchester City -1 (-150)

It is no secret that Manchester City is not firing on all cylinders at the moment. Still, the defending champions have more than enough firepower to deliver a big blow to Aston Villa’s recent revival under Unai Emery.

The Cityzens have won nine of their 11 home league games this season, scoring a whopping 37 goals in the process (3.4 goals per game). With Erling Haaland leading the line, City looks set to secure another high-scoring victory on home soil.
