Gameweek 24 of the 2022-23 English Premier League season gets underway on Saturday, February 18th. If you’re planning to bet on this weekend’s action, be sure to check out my EPL predictions and picks for Gameweek 24.
Brentford vs. Crystal Palace
Best Bet: Brentford to Win (-120)
Brentford heads into Gameweek 24 on a ten-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League, while Thomas Frank’s men have won five of their previous eight outings. As a result, the Bees find themselves eighth in the table – nine points clear of twelfth-placed Crystal Palace.
By contrast, the Eagles have failed to win any of their last six league matches, recording three draws and three losses in the process. Having picked up a solitary victory across the past nine games, Palace looks destined to suffer another defeat against in-from Brentford.
Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Fulham
Best Bet: Both Teams to Score (-130)
Funnily enough, Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham have the highest BTTS percentages in the Premier League this season. Both teams have scored in 13 of Brighton’s 21 games (62%), while both teams have scored in 14 of Fulham’s 23 outings (61%).
Locked on 35 points in the table, sixth-placed Brighton and seventh-placed Fulham face off at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. You probably won’t be surprised to learn that I recommend opting for the BTTS wager for this match-up.
Chelsea vs. Southampton
Best Bet: Chelsea -1 (+110)
After just 14 games and three months in charge, Nathan Jones was sacked as Southampton manager earlier this week. The Saints find themselves rooted to the foot of the table, following a run of nine losses in ten Premier League matches.
Granted, Chelsea is not firing on all cylinders at the moment, but Graham Potter’s star-studded team should make light work of lowly Southampton. With the Blues priced at -267 to win on home soil, it makes sense to throw the -1 handicap into the mix and boost the odds to +110.
Manchester United vs. Leicester City
Best Bet: Over 2.5 Goals (-167)
Having scored 36 goals and conceded 38 this season, Leicester City’s Premier League games average 3.4 goals. Only five teams have scored more goals than the Foxes this term, but only the bottom two clubs have worse defensive records.
Following a 2-2 draw with Brighton, Leicester beat Aston Villa 4-2 before thrashing Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 last time out. For that reason, we should see over 2.5 goals when Brendan Rodgers’ men face high- flying Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. West Ham United
Tottenham Hotspur to Win (-130)
As we head into Gameweek 24, fifth-placed Tottenham leads sixteenth-placed West Ham by 19 points in the table. The London rivals are worlds apart right now, with Spurs fighting for Champions League soccer and the Hammers battling to avoid relegation.
With that in mind, odds of -130 for Tottenham to beat West Ham feel too good to miss. It is no secret that Spurs have struggled for consistency throughout the campaign, but they should be able to dispatch the faltering Hammers without any major problems.
