With the weekend fast approaching, it’s time to lock in your Premier League predictions for Gameweek 26. Lucky for you, I have scoured the EPL odds to find the best bets for the upcoming round of fixtures. Here are my recommended picks.
Manchester City vs. Newcastle United
Best Bet: Manchester City to Win (-200)
Having lost the EFL Cup final to Manchester United last weekend, Newcastle United will be eager to reignite their season in Gameweek 26. Unfortunately for Eddie Howe’s men, they have a trip to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
After thrashing Bournemouth 4-1 last weekend, Man City beat Bristol City 3-0 in the FA Cup on Tuesday, meaning they have won seven of their last 10 games across all competitions. Newcastle heads into Saturday’s clash on a five-game winless run, so I’m confident that City will come out on top.
Aston Villa vs. Crystal Palace
Best Bet: Aston Villa to Win (-106)
Aston Villa returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Everton last time out, meaning they have won six of their 11 Premier League matches under Unai Emery. In terms of the table, the Villains now find themselves four points clear of Crystal Palace.
The Eagles have failed to win any of their previous eight league outings, recording five draws and three losses in the process. Having won just two of their 11 away league games this season, Patrick Vieira’s men look set to suffer another defeat on Saturday.
Chelsea vs. Leeds United
Best Bet: Under 2.5 Goals (-110)
What has happened to Chelsea? Not only have the Blues lost each of their last three matches, but they have also failed to win any of their previous six. When you look at the bigger picture, Graham Potter’s side has claimed just two wins across the past 15 outings.
It is also worth noting that each of Chelsea’s previous seven games have produced under 2.5 goals, with five of those clashes dishing up under 1.5 goals. For that reason, I expect Chelsea and Leeds United to play out a low-scoring encounter at Stamford Bridge.
Southampton vs. Leicester City
Best Bet: Both Teams to Score (-130)
This is destined to be a fiery encounter between two relegation rivals, as Leicester City sits just six points clear of bottom club Southampton. Given the immense pressure on this match-up, we are likely to see plenty of action at both ends of the pitch.
It is worth pointing out that both teams have scored in eight of Southampton’s 11 home games this season (73%), while both teams have scored in seven of Leicester’s 12 away outings (58%). With that in mind, the BTTS wager is the perfect option here.
Nottingham Forest vs. Everton
Best Bet: Nottingham Forest to Win (+162)
Nottingham Forest has turned the City Ground into a fortress in recent months. Indeed, the Tricky Trees have not lost a home league game since all the way back on September 16th, picking up four wins and four draws in that time.
Not only have Steve Cooper’s men managed to defeat Liverpool on home soil, but they have also held Manchester City and Chelsea in 2023. That’s why I’m backing Forest to claim all three points against relegation-threatened Everton on Sunday.
