The English Premier League is now just two weeks away from completion. However, many teams still have everything to play for.
Liverpool slipped and drew with Tottenham last weekend. This gives Manchester City an open door to walk through to grab the league title. Meanwhile, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs are still fighting for position in the top four. This is a race that can only have two winners, leaving an odd man out.
Here are the best bets to place for the upcoming weekend’s EPL action.
Top Match-Winner: Manchester City (-280)
Realistically, Manchester City just needs to win two of their next three games to win the league. This could change depending on their midweek result.
They have room for a draw somewhere. However, anyone who has been watching the EPL should know that manager Pep Guardiola is ruthless with his results domestically. West Ham is the best opponent left on City’s schedule, meaning they will be facing the firing squad.
City has unmatched talent and is playing at its usual supreme level. Seeing them lose when the stakes are this high (in a non-European competition) is hard to imagine.
Top Asian Handicap: Brighton +0.25 (-160)
The oddsmakers very well may have slipped up with this one. Brighton has been the far better team over the course of the season. They have also done a very solid job of nicking results from a variety of opponents, including top sides.
They have also won consecutive games, outsourcing their opponents 7-0 in the process. Leeds has had fluctuating results and is too inconsistent to earn the trust of bettors. Giving Brighton bettors the chance to turn a profit with a draw is rather insulting to a ninth-place team taking on a relegation-stricken club. The choice here is obvious.
Top Match Total: Aston Villa / Crystal Palace Over 2.5 Goals

Both Aston Villa and Crystal Palace like to play openly and attack their opponents, especially against non-top-four teams. Neither team has much to play for. Both are simply looking to build momentum they can carry into the offseason and upcoming campaign. They can be expected to be bombarding down the flanks and attacking their opponents. This should create a high-scoring game. The match-winner could go either way, but the over seems like an obvious possibility here.
Parlay: Wolverhampton (-225) / Watford (+275)
Wolves has been one of the most defensively resolute sides in the league. They’ll back themselves to earn a result against the worst team in the league, even if they go down early.
This confidence will be spurred by their 2-2 draw with Chelsea in which they rallied late to share the points. Wolves do not have an extremely prolific attack. However, they are going against one of the worst defensive sides in the top flight. They should be able to sneak a few onto the score sheet.
Watford is in the precarious position of having nothing to play for as they are going to be relegated. However, they still need to turn up for their matches.
Sometimes teams in this position begin to play more freely. They’ll turn in some of their best performances of the season after it is, for all intents and purposes, over. Now that they are going against an injured and floundering Leicester City side, there is a strong chance that this happens.
