Three-Team NCAA Basketball Parlay for This Weekend

The Friday night college basketball schedule is a doozy of mid- and low-major matchups, but there are some opportunities to make some scratch. Let’s take a look at a three-team parlay that is going to be a little bit less than your typical 6/1 payout but is still “reasonably safe.”

This three-team parlay pays out at 3.7/1, though it won’t pay out until Sunday now that the Florida Atlantic-Western Kentucky game was pushed back two days due to COVID-19 concerns.

Boise State Broncos at Nevada Wolf Pack Preview

Broncos vs. Wolf Pack Picks

Best Bet: Boise State -4

This is a fun bet because you get to back one of the best kept secrets in the country in Boise State star Derrick Alston Jr. The 6-7 Alston is coming off a bit of a dud game against Colorado State but has gone for 20 or more points eight times this season.

The Broncos also have a pretty nice second fiddle in Marcus Shaver, who averages 13.8 points per game. Both players shoot at 38% or better from behind the arc.

The Broncos are 7-2 straight-up away from home and 5-2 against the spread in their true road games on the season. Boise State is also undefeated on the season when it is the favorite.

Nevada has been good at home this season at 7-2 straight-up and 6-2 against the spread.

Even though Nevada is a quality team, it’s hard to go against a Boise State squad that has some legitimate star power on the roster. The Wolf Pack aren’t especially great on either end of the floor, and the Broncos don’t turn the ball over while keeping other teams off the offensive glass as well.

Take Boise State to cover.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at Florida Atlantic Owls Preview

Hilltoppers vs. Owls Picks

Best Bet: Western Kentucky ML (-310)

This Western Kentucky team has the talent and the coaching to dominate Florida Atlantic, and we could really up our payoff by taking the -110 to cover. But the Hilltoppers are just 8-9 against the spread this season.

The good news is that Rick Stansbury’s group is a 5-2 straight-up on the road, while Florida Atlantic is just 1-3 straight-up as the dog.

Western Kentucky’s offense is ranked in the top 70 in the nation, while FAU’s defense currently sits at 198th. The Owls also rank 262nd in the nation in defensive effective field-goal percentage while allowing opposing teams to shoot over 38% from behind the three-point line.

Western Kentucky has scorers in Taveion Hollingsworth and Josh Anderson, but neither shoots particularly well from behind the arc. However, given their level of talent if they get wide-open looks, they are talented enough to knock them down.

Bet on the Hilltoppers moneyline.

Akron Zips at Kent State Golden Flashes Preview

Zips vs. Golden Flashes Picks

Best Bet: Kent State -2

The Zips got the best of the Golden Flashes in Akron, but Kent State has been pretty hot lately, winning seven of its last eight games. Kent State is 7-1 straight-up at home, while Akron is just 2-3 in true road games and 2-4 against games that were away from home.

As the favorite, Kent State is 8-1 straight-up on the season and an impressive 11-4-1 against the spread in its last 16 games. Home court is going to matter in this matchup. Kent State covers the deuce.
