It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for weekend baseball. The weekend is the best time to bet on baseball for most people. It gives you some extra free time to place winning wagers.
There are some games on the Friday slate that give bettors a great chance to prosper. Here are the teams that you should bet on in Major League Baseball today!

There is not a better day to put your life savings on the Washington Nationals! I am just kidding, of course, but Friday’s game between Washington and Arizona is perfect for bettors.
There are multiple reasons why you should bet the Nationals on Friday. Max Scherzer, the best pitcher over the past five years, is on the bump for Washington. Anytime Scherzer is pitching, the Nationals have a chance to win.
The three-time Cy Young winner has thrown 46.1 innings in 2021 and recorded 61 strikeouts. In addition to fanning batters, he also does not give up a lot of runs. His ERA is 2.33 after seven starts.
The D-backs do not have a juiced lineup, but it will be even weaker on Friday. As of May 13th, Christina Walker and Ketel Marte have been added to the ten-day injured list. These circumstances make Friday a perfect day to wager the Nats.
Oakland Athletics vs. Minnesota Twins Picks

The Athletics started the season in bad shape. The squad lost their first six games before winning 13 straight contests. Oakland has been on a roll as of late, earning a series win over the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox were the first-ranked team in the MLB Power Rankings this past week.
The A’s dominance in Fenway Park is a good sign for bettors on Friday. Oakland will be on the road again, facing the Minnesota Twins.
The Twins are the worst team in baseball at 12-24. The team cannot seem to buy a win as of late. Also, the A’s are undefeated against Minnesota and have outscored the team 21-12.
Oakland should have a field day off, Matt Shoemaker. The pitcher is 2-3 on the season with a 6.43 ERA. Frankie Montas, who is 4-2, will throw for the A’s. His ERA is not great at 5.50, but I expect his offense to generate many runs against Shoemaker.
With the way Oakland has been playing, choosing them against the Twins on Friday is an east selection.
New York Mets vs. Tampa Bay Rays Picks
Best Bet: Rays ML (-148)
The Rays have not had the most potent offense in 2021. However, do not be feared by their low team average against the Mets. New York can hit, but they have not been as dominant as projected this season.
Francisco Lindor looks like he forgot how to hit, and Pete Alonso is leading the team in average at .259. This struggling lineup will have to face Tampa Bay’s ace, Tyler Glasnow. Glasnow is looking like a future Cy Young winner on the mound.
He is 4-2 with a 2.37 ERA and 75 strikeouts. The 75 strikeouts have come over 49.1 innings of work. Glasnow will shut down the Mets at home on Friday.
