It’s NBA Sunday, and there are lots of great games to wager. The mismatches in the games make for great player prop opportunities. Player props are great because we get to bet on one player instead of a whole team.
Here are my best picks for Sunday.
Brandon Ingram Over 20.5 Points
Brandon Ingram has been having a solid year for the Pelicans. New Orleans is not a great team, but the future looks bright.
Ingram is one of the reasons for the team’s future success. The Pelicans will face a struggling Lakers team on the road.
I like Los Angeles to win, but Ingram should have a big night. He is averaging 22.2 PPG, and his total is set at 20.5 points.
The Lakers slow the pace of the game down. This favors Ingram’s style of play.
He is 6’8″, so he can match up with Los Angeles in the paint. He also can shoot the ball from deep. This is a recipe for him going over his point total.
RJ Barrett Under 22.5 Points
RJ Barrett is averaging 18.6 PPG, but his total for Sunday is set at 22.5. This is a huge difference and one I recommend taking advantage of on Sunday. He will face the 76ers, who are one of the biggest threats in the Eastern Conference.
Barrett is coming off a 46-point game on Friday. This has been a rarity for the player in 2022. With Philadelphia’s strong defense, I cannot take the over on Barrett’s total.
Rudy Gobert Over 12.5 Rebounds
Rudy Gobert is one of the best defenders in the NBA. He is the best rebounder in basketball, averaging 14.8 boards per game.
He gets to the hoop and controls the paint. The Jazz will face the Suns on Sunday, and Phoenix is a small team.
The Suns win by shooting the ball well. This gives Gobert an excellent opportunity to grab boards in the paint. Gobert is coming off a game on Friday when he grabbed 17 boards. I think Gobert continues to dominate down low against the Suns.
Mason Plumlee Over 6.5 Points
Mason Plumlee is a guy you may not know too well for the Hornets. He is a 6’11 center for Charlotte that has not done much in 2022. He is coming off an eight-point performance against a good Toronto team.
The Hornets will host the Pistons on Sunday. Detroit is a bad team, and they do not play well in the paint. The Pistons may surprise some people, but I think Plumlee will still go over his total.
Reggie Jackson Under 7.5 Assists
The Los Angeles Clippers will face the Rockets on Sunday. This is a game with another mismatch.
The Rockets only have 15 wins this season. In Jackson’s first game against the Rockets, he collected 14 assists.
He is averaging 4.6 per game, but his past five games have been dominant, passing the ball. He has gone over this total four times in five games. His hit rate has been very high, so keep an eye on Jackson moving forward.
