The team has hit the ball well for two games but only won one of these contests. New York blew a four-run lead in the top of the ninth in their last contest against the Angels. Friday’s pitching matchup favors the Mets with Taijuan Walker.

If one thing has hurt New York in 2021, it has been pitching. Walker is 6-3 on the season with a 2.38 ERA. Walker will pitch against Jordan Montgomery for New York. Montgomery is 3-2 with a 4.06 ERA.

I think the Mets pull off the slight upset. They may have positive odds to win, but they are playing better than New York.
