Jason Robertson, Stars Aim to Stay Hot Against Tough Blue Jackets
Robertson’s Scoring Surge Fuels Stars’ Road Success
The Dallas Stars are on a roll, and Jason Robertson is leading the charge.
Fresh off a hat trick in Sunday’s 4-3 win over the New York Islanders, Robertson is heating up at just the right time. His explosive second period against the Isles showcased why he’s one of Dallas’ top offensive weapons.
“I thought he was exceptional,” Stars head coach Peter DeBoer said. “He was moving his feet, attacking, scoring the type of goals he scores. We need that from him.”

Robertson’s recent form has been electric—he now has 31 points (16 goals, 15 assists) in his last 23 games and sits tied for the team lead in goals (23) with Matt Duchene. His playmaking skills were also on display in Dallas’ 5-3 win over Columbus earlier this month, where he picked up an assist.
With Robertson and Duchene clicking, Dallas has won three straight and eight of its last 10 (8-1-1). Add in the steady play of Roope Hintz and Sam Steel, and the Stars are finding ways to win in every situation.
Duchene’s Playmaking at an Elite Level
If Robertson has been the finisher, Duchene has been the setup man.
The veteran forward leads the Stars in assists (36) and points (59) and has been on fire lately, registering four consecutive multi-point games. His chemistry with Robertson was evident on Sunday, assisting on two of his three goals.
The Stars are not only winning but doing so in different ways, showing their depth and resilience.
“We’re winning all kinds of ways right now, so that’s a great sign,” goaltender Jake Oettinger said after making 34 saves against the Islanders. “When you’re winning games and not playing your best, that’s what you want to see.”
Dallas has been dominant on the road, going 11-3-1 in its last 15 away games. But the final stop of this trip presents a challenge.
Blue Jackets Thrive at Home & Werenski Chases History
The Columbus Blue Jackets might not be leading the standings, but they’ve been nearly unbeatable on home ice. Their impressive 18-6-4 home record speaks for itself, and they’ll be looking to defend their turf against a Dallas squad that’s rolling.
The Jackets ended a four-game winless streak in emphatic fashion on Saturday, steamrolling the Chicago Blackhawks 5-1. Leading the charge? Defenseman Zach Werenski, who had a goal and two assists to extend his home point streak to 22 games.
That’s no small feat—Werenski is now just three games away from tying Bobby Orr’s NHL record for the longest home point streak by a defenseman, set back in 1974-75.

Columbus head coach Dean Evason was full of praise for Werenski’s endurance, especially after his standout performance at the Four Nations Face-Off, where he led all scorers with six points.
“Impressed? 100 percent. Shocked? No,” Evason said. “He’s such an incredible athlete, and his ability to reset and help his team win is what makes him special.”
While personal milestones are great, Werenski remains laser-focused on the bigger picture.
“Points are so important right now,” he said. “We’re battling with Detroit, Ottawa, the Rangers. It’s fun to be in this race, and we’re in a great spot.”
Werenski leads the team in both assists (44) and points (62) and will be a key factor if Columbus wants to slow down Dallas’ offensive juggernaut.
