Slippery Rock started 2025-26 as a side to back and finished as one to doubt: 9-1 over the first ten games, 4-6 over the last ten. The Rock tied Seton Hill at 10-10 in the PSAC and lost all three games against them, the third of them in the opening game of the PSAC tournament.

Home and away

They were 11-5 at home and 6-7 away. Judged by the final table, their best result also came away from home: 81-64 at California (Pa.), 16-4 in the league, on 28 February.

The start and the slump

Seven straight wins from 25 November to 20 December included 70-61 over Shepherd. Five straight defeats came later, from 14 January to 31 January, among them 62-88 at Seton Hill and 65-96 at home to Gannon.

Seton Hill

The three meetings ended 88-62 at Seton Hill on 17 January, 67-59 at Slippery Rock on 21 February and 78-70 at Seton Hill once more when the conference tournament opened on 2 March.

Narrow results

Four games were settled by five points or fewer and they won three, among them 74-73 over Lake Erie and 80-78 over Clarion. The widest win was 114-76 over West Virginia Wesleyan in the season opener; the heaviest loss was 73-117 at Gannon on 18 February.
