How 3×3 is played
A 3×3 game is played on a half court with one hoop, three players a side. Shots from inside the arc count one point and from beyond it two, there is a 12-second shot clock, and a game ends when a team reaches 21 points or after 10 minutes, olympics.com’s guide to the sport says.
In a game that short, one hot shooter can swing it in a few possessions, and a knockout round leaves no room to recover.
