Masai Ujiri had an op-ed published in the Toronto Star last Friday you can check out, but in it he said he hopes the Raptors can play at home and that playing at home remains the goal.

Ujiri also discussed the proposals made by the Raptors to the Canadian government.

One major obstacle is that the Canada-US border is closed for non-essential travel and that would be a problem that needs to be overcome or else teams won’t be able to travel to Toronto.

With time running out, it’s looking like the Raptors may open the season playing outside of Canada, so while the NBA betting value is definitely on betting “YES” at +275 odds, it’s going to be a tough bet to cash.

The city emerging as the most likely place for the Raptors is Tampa Bay.

If you’re going to bet on this market, I recommend betting Tampa Bay now at plus money. Keep in mind, if news breaks, this betting market will be taken down immediately.

There was a rumor the Raptors were considering Louisville, but it appears to be false. While the 7/1 odds might look great, I wouldn’t recommend betting on any city other than Tampa Bay.

I’m sure the players have had some say and who wouldn’t want to be stationed in Tampa Bay during the Canadian winter? If the Raptors can’t play at home, why not go somewhere sunny?

Buffalo could make some sense due to the proximity to Toronto, but I’m not sure it makes a lot of sense because anyone crossing the border needs to self-isolate for 14 days.
