Vezina Trophy Odds 2026-27: Logan Thompson Leads at +500

Logan Thompson of the Washington Capitals is the favorite in the Vezina Trophy odds at +500 on DraftKings, as ESPN listed the market at 14:50 UTC on October 16, 2026. Ilya Sorokin is next at +750 and Jeremy Swayman at +800, and Andrei Vasilevskiy, who won the award for 2025-26, shares fourth with Connor Hellebuyck at +850.

At +500, $100 wins $500, and the bet breaks even only if Thompson wins the award 16.7% of the time.

Prices are DraftKings’ Vezina Trophy Winner market as ESPN carried it at 14:50 UTC on October 16, 2026, and teams are the ones on each goalie’s ESPN record at that read. Starts, save percentage and goals-against average (GAA) are ESPN’s 2026-27 regular-season figures, read the same afternoon. A goalie with no game this season shows 0 starts.

The 44 implied chances add up to 147.0%, which puts the book’s margin on this market at 47.0 points. Share of board divides each chance by that total: Thompson’s 16.7% becomes 11.3%, and the 37 goalies below the top seven hold 46.9% between them. Thirty-two of the 44 are priced at +4000 or longer.

We state no Vezina pick. The award is decided by a vote, and we have no method for predicting a vote.

Who is favored to win the Vezina

Thompson leads the board without having been a finalist last season. His 2025-26 regular season was 58 starts, a .912 save percentage, a 2.44 GAA and four shutouts. Through five starts of this one he is 3-2 at .904.

Sorokin and Swayman were the two other finalists for 2025-26, and both have opened above .930. Sorokin is at .934 with a 1.81 GAA and a shutout in five starts; Swayman is 5-1 at .930 in six.

Vasilevskiy won the 2025-26 vote with 17 first-place votes and 114 points, ahead of Sorokin’s 51 points and Swayman’s 46, according to the NHL’s records site. He led the league with 39 wins in 58 starts, going 39-15-4 with a 2.31 GAA and a .912 save percentage. His first six starts of 2026-27 come to 4-2 at .886.

Hellebuyck won the award for 2023-24 and 2024-25. His 2025-26 came to .895 and a 2.86 GAA in 57 starts, and ESPN’s injury record has listed him on injured reserve since October 2, with no game played this season.

Jake Oettinger, at +1000, and Linus Ullmark, at +1100, share the board’s lowest GAA, 1.20. Ullmark is 6-0 with a .949 save percentage, the best of the 44, and Oettinger has two shutouts in five starts. Both finished 2025-26 under .900: Oettinger at .899 and Ullmark, the 2022-23 winner, at .891.

Jesper Wallstedt, eighth at +2000, has made seven starts, more than any other goalie on the board, at .920.

Every 2026-27 figure above rests on one to seven starts. Last season’s three finalists made 54 to 58 starts each, so a week of saves proves little, and the prices will move with every month of the season.

How the Vezina Trophy is decided

The Vezina goes “to the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position,” in the words of the NHL’s records site. The general managers of the league’s 32 teams vote at the end of the regular season, and the top three become finalists. Until 1981-82 the trophy went to the goalies of the team that allowed the fewest goals, the rule that now decides the William M. Jennings Trophy.

The last five winners were Igor Shesterkin (2021-22), Ullmark (2022-23), Hellebuyck (2023-24 and 2024-25) and Vasilevskiy (2025-26). Shesterkin is not among the 44 on this board. ESPN’s calendar runs the regular season to April 10, 2027.
