“Train Dreams” won three awards, the most of any film, adding Best Cinematography for Adolpho Veloso. “Sorry, Baby” won two, for Eva Victor’s screenplay and Naomi Ackie’s performance.
The ceremony was at the Hollywood Palladium, the first time the Spirit Awards had been held there since 1994, and it was hosted by Ego Nwodim.
The 2026 television winners
“Adolescence” won four awards, the most for any series since the Spirit Awards began honoring television in 2021. They were Best New Scripted Series, Best Lead Performance for Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Performance for Erin Doherty and Best Breakthrough Performance for Owen Cooper.
“Pee-wee as Himself” won Best New Non-Scripted or Documentary Series, and “Chief of War” won Best Ensemble Cast in a New Scripted Series.
