Olympic Women’s Road Race Odds: Faulkner Holds Gold

Women’s Cycling Road winners raising their hands

Kristen Faulkner of the United States is the Olympic women’s road race champion, after winning in Paris on August 4, 2024, 58 seconds clear of Marianne Vos and Lotte Kopecky. The next Olympic road race is in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 22, 2028, over 150 km, and we have no sportsbook price on it to quote.

The Los Angeles race starts at the Venice Beach Boardwalk and finishes at the Griffith Observatory. LA28 says the course route will be published before the end of 2026.

Olympic women’s road race odds

No price on the 2028 race is quoted here. As of September 25, 2026, we have no market for it that we can source and date.

When a market opens, the arithmetic is the same as any futures board. The implied chance of a price is 100 divided by the price plus 100, so +125 means 44.4% and +400 means 20.0%. A bet on the gold medal is worth making only when you rate a rider’s chance higher than the price does.

The race was 157.6 km, from Paris back to Paris, and Faulkner won it with a solo attack over the last 3 km. She won a second gold medal in Paris in the women’s team pursuit on the track, and Team USA says she is the first American woman to win Olympic gold in two different disciplines.

Both races were won by a rider on her own. Kiesenhofer rode the last 41 km alone in Tokyo, held on in 3:52:45 and finished 1:15 ahead of van Vleuten. Faulkner’s solo was far shorter, and the chasing pair crossed the line together.
