Van der Poel went with Vermeersch’s attack on the Molenberg, bridged to the breakaway, and crested the Muur about 18 seconds clear. By the top of the Bosberg, the last climb, his lead was nearly 36 seconds, and van Dijke beat Vermeersch in the sprint for second. With 18 km to go, a crash in the peloton brought down riders including Arnaud De Lie.

Five men’s editions, five different winners. Van Aert is the only rider on two of these podiums, first in 2022 and third in 2024. De Lie, second in 2023, was caught in the late crash in 2026.
In the women’s race, Demi Vollering won in 2026 ahead of Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney and Lorena Wiebes. The two before her were Lotte Claes in 2025, when Vollering was third, and Marianne Vos in 2024.
