The Craftsman Truck Series is approaching the midway point of the season. And, as of this writing, Corey Heim leads the NASCAR driver standings by a healthy margin and continues to sit at the top of the betting boards as the odds-on favorite to capture the Truck Series Championship.
However, with a little more than half of the season remaining, there’s still a ton of racing left which means that other drivers can rise up and challenge Heim for the 2025 Craftsman Truck Championship.
Let’s take a look at the latest 2025 NASCAR Truck Series Championship odds, courtesy of the best sports betting sites, and make our Craftsman Truck Series Championship predictions.

Chandler Smith | +450 | +400 |
Ty Majeski | +330 | +400 |

Kaden Honeycutt | +2000 | +2000 |
Ben Rhodes | +1600 | +3500 |
Rajah Caruth | +2000 | +4000 |
Heim continues to be the odds-on favorite to win the championship. His odds have dipped nearly in half since the green flag dropped on the season. Chandler Smith has risen up the boards to sit alongside Heim in the front row of the Truck field.
Grant Enfinger, Ben Rhodes and Rajah Caruth are the most notable movers with significant shifts in their lines. In the case of the latter two, their odds nearly doubled from respectable contenders to longshots.

Truck Series Championship Favorites
The following drivers are considered the odds-on favorites to win the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship. Each driver listed below, features their 2024 Truck season finish and their 2025 stats at the time of publication:
Corey Heim
- Wins: 3
- Top 5: 6
- Top 10: 8
- 2024 Finish: 2nd
- Career Best: 2nd in 2024
As of this writing, Corey Heim leads all Truck Series drivers in wins, Top 5s, Top 10s, laps led, average finish, stage wins, and Playoff points. In other words, he’s clearly the best driver in the Truck Series at the time of this writing.
Heim opened the season with a win at Daytona. He followed that up with a win in Las Vegas two weeks later. His third win came in Texas, two races ago. Heim has finished in the Top 8 for eight of the nine races this season.
He’s been an absolute beast and only drivers like Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson have a realistic shot at beating Heim during their rare Truck appearances.
Last year, Heim had six wins and 18 Top 10s in 23 races. He finished 2nd to Ty Majeski for the 2024 Truck Series Championship.
This year, Heim is the man to beat. It would take an epic collapse on Heim’s part to miss out on the Championship Race.
Chandler Smith
- Wins: 1
- Top 5: 3
- Top 10: 6
- 2024 Finish: NA
- Career Best: 3rd in 2022
Chandler Smith has moved up from the second row to the front row on the betting boards after a strong start to the 2025 Truck season. He won at Bristol and has finished within the Top 17 for every race as of this writing. Smith is one of the only drivers without a DNF so far.
Last year, Smith raced in the Xfinity Series. He didn’t compete in the Truck Series. Yet, he did finish 5th in the Xfinity Series Playoffs.
Smith’s last full-time Truck season came in 2022, where he finished 3rd overall. He won three races that season. Currently, Smith is on pace to beat some of those numbers. We’ll see if he can pick up a few more wins this year.
As for his chances of winning the Championship, I put him squarely behind Heim but ahead of the rest of the field.
Ty Majeski
- Wins: 0
- Top 5: 2
- Top 10: 4
- 2024 Finish: First
- Career Best: First in 2024
The reigning 2025 Truck Series Champion has yet to win a race this season, as of this writing. Yet, that’s not something to be worried about if you are betting on Majeski to win the trophy for a second straight season.
Last year, it took Majeski half of the season before winning races. He then won two in a row. The champ’s third win of the year was the Championship Race, which secured him the trophy. So, in other words, all is not lost for Majeski.
I fully expect the defending champ to bounce back in the second half and make a run up the standings as he reestablishes himself as one of the real contenders for the 2025 Truck Championship.
Layne Riggs
- Wins: 0
- Top 5: 2
- Top 10: 3
- 2024 Finish: 11th
- Career Best: 11th in 2024
Despite wining two races last year, Layne Riggs ended up 11th in the standings. Needless to say, that’s not how the team hoped things would finish. This year, has been below expectations as well.
Riggs has seen his share of controversy over the first half of the season with some last-lap collisions and post-race disqualifications. It seems like every time he takes a step forward, Riggs then takes two steps back.
As of this writing, Riggs would be lucky to make the Playoffs. With that said, I fully expect this team to bounce back in the second half of the season and make a run in the postseason. However, I would avoid his Championship odds for now.
Truck Series Championship Betting Value
The following drivers offer betting value based on their current odds and 2025 Truck Series season to date:
Daniel Hemric
- Wins: 1
- Top 5: 4
- Top 10: 6
- 2024 Finish: NA
- Career Best: 6th in 2016
Daniel Hemric ditched the Truck Series after the 2016 season, where he finished 6th, and went to the Xfinity Series. He ran Xfinity full time from 2017 to 2023, where he won the Xfinity Series Championship in 2021.
In 2024, Hemric had a spot in the Cup Series for the entire season. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out so well as he ended up 29th. He also did this in 2019, where he finished 25th.
Hemric returned to the Truck Series this season, and has performed well up to this point. He scored a win in Martinsville and has two other Top 3 finishes. Hemric was close to winning at Texas as well.
At the time of this writing, Hemric has finished 16th or better in every race and has one of the best average finishes outside of Heim. At +1000 odds, Hemric is definitely worthy of a flier with this type of value.
Grant Enfinger
- Wins: 0
- Top 5: 3
- Top 10: 6
- 2024 Finish: 4th
- Career Best: 2nd in 2023
As long as he finishes the race, Enfinger is putting up strong numbers. His two DNFs definitely hurt his position in the standings over the first three months of the season. Yet, his 66.6% Top 10 finishing rate is very encouraging moving forward.
Enfinger finished 4th last year with two victories on the season. He finished runner up in 2023, after tallying three wins. For his career, Enfinger has 12 wins, but none this season so far.
If there’s one driver that is on the cusp of victory, it has to be Enfinger. His odds have doubled since February, which gives us more value at this point of the season. Considering he’s made the Championship Race two years in a row, I wouldn’t count out this driver during the stretch run of 2025.
Tyler Ankrum
- Wins: 1
- Top 5: 6
- Top 10: 7
- 2024 Finish: 8th
- Career Best: 8th in 2019 and 2024
Tyler Ankrum already has more wins and as many Top 5s as he did all of last year. It’s a surprising start to a driver that has never finished higher than 8th on the season.
Other than a blown engine at Daytona, Ankrum has finished in the Top 16 for every race up to this point. Even more staggering is the fact that he has a 66.7% Top 5 finishing rate and a 77.8% Top 10 finishing rate at the time of this writing.
Ankrum put together a stretch of five consecutive Top 5 finishes in April and May, while leading laps in half the races so far.
There is a lot to like about Ankrum this season. I like his chances of competition for a spot in the Championship Race.
Top Longshot To Win Truck Series Championship
Rajah Caruth (+4000) is my longshot pick to win the Truck Series Championship. Caruth finished 7th last year in the Truck Series standings, which is his career best result. He’s been behind that pace for most of the season.
However, Caruth is starting to pick things up after a shaky first month. He’s put together four Top 10s and Two Top 5s in the last five truck races. Currently, Caruth has a 55.6% Top 10 finishing rate on the season and is aiming to secure at least one victory this year.
Last season, Caruth picked up his first ever Truck Series win. The #71 truck has been close twice so far, in picking up a checkered flag. He had a strong truck at Bristol, but faded to 9th after leading 85 laps. He also finished 3rd at Texas and led a handful of laps.
At +4000 odds, Caruth could be worth a small flier at this point in the season.
Craftsman Truck Series Championship Predictions
My NASCAR picks for the Top 6 contenders to win the Championship are Heim, Smith, Enfinger, Hemric, Majeski and Ankrum.
However, there really is only one driver that you can confidently put your money on at this point of the season and that is Corey Heim.
Heim has dominated the season up to this point and I don’t see him slowing down during the second half of the year, including the Playoffs.
I think this is the year that Heim captures his first Craftsman Truck Series Championship. Get his line now while there’s still plus-money odds. They’re only going to shrink even further from this point on.
Bet: Corey Heim (+130)
