WNBA Rookie of the Year Odds are no longer an active 2026 betting market. Olivia Miles of the Minnesota Lynx was unanimously named Rookie of the Year on September 28, receiving all 74 first-place votes.

The result confirmed the prediction from our September update, when Miles had separated herself from the rest of the rookie class but no verified Rookie of the Year betting market was available. There is therefore no new 2026 award pick to make now that voting is complete.

Miles did more than win the award. She finished with 790 points, breaking Caitlin Clark’s previous rookie scoring record, and became the first No. 2 draft pick to win Rookie of the Year since the current run of four consecutive No. 1 selections began in 2022.

Miles started all 40 games she played and helped Minnesota finish 33-11, the best regular-season record in the WNBA. Her combination of individual production and team success left little room for debate when ballots were submitted.

Why Olivia Miles Won Unanimously

The scoring record was the headline statistic, but Miles’ case was broader. She led all rookies in points, scoring average, field goals made, total assists, assists per game, defensive rebounds and efficiency.

She also swept all four WNBA Rookie of the Month awards and became an All-Star starter during her first professional season. Those milestones showed that her advantage was sustained across the year rather than created by one late scoring run.

Miles finished eighth among all WNBA players in scoring and seventh in assists per game. That placed her production well beyond a normal rookie comparison and into the upper tier of established league starters.

The No. 2 pick also combined efficiency with volume, shooting 49.2% from the field, 38.8% from three and 87.0% at the free-throw line.

How the 2026 Rookie of the Year Prediction Finished

The previous ScoresAndStats update identified Miles as the clear Rookie of the Year prediction before the award was announced. At that point, she had already broken Clark’s rookie scoring record and had been selected by every voter on a prominent end-of-season awards panel.

We did not publish an active futures wager because a reliable 2026 Rookie of the Year price could not be verified. That distinction matters when reviewing an awards page: predicting the correct winner and recommending a profitable wager are not automatically the same thing.

The final award result validated the player evaluation. Miles received every official vote, but there was no verified late-season betting number on this page to grade as a winning or losing pick.

ScoresAndStats Betting Takeaway: The 2026 prediction was correct, but there was no verified late-season Rookie of the Year market to bet. Miles ultimately removed any remaining uncertainty by taking all 74 official votes.

Olivia Miles’ Rookie Season in Numbers

The most important comparison is the scoring record. Clark scored 769 points as a rookie in 2024. Miles finished with 790, while also setting a rookie record with 22 games of at least 20 points.

2026 WNBA All-Rookie Team

The WNBA later named six players to the 2026 All-Rookie Team: Miles, Flau’jae Johnson, Azzi Fudd, Sydney Taylor, Kiki Rice and Pauline Astier.

That group gives useful context for the depth of the class, but the Rookie of the Year voting itself was not close. With Miles receiving all 74 votes, no other player collected a first-place ballot.

For ongoing league coverage after the award season, the WNBA Championship odds and predictions page follows the current postseason market, while individual games remain on the WNBA predictions board.

Miles ended a four-year streak of No. 1 overall picks winning the award. Seven of the 12 winners from 2015 through 2026 were selected first overall, but recent history also shows that draft position alone does not settle the race.

What Happens to Rookie of the Year Odds Now?

The 2026 market is finished. Once the WNBA announces the award winner, Rookie of the Year bets for that season are settled and there is no meaningful reason to display old prices as though they remain available.

The next actionable Rookie of the Year futures market will concern the 2027 season. Those prices should be evaluated only after a current board is actually posted and the draft, roster fit and expected playing time can be assessed.

Miles’ season also provides a useful reminder for future predictions. Draft position matters, but opportunity, efficiency, health and a player’s ability to contribute immediately can overcome being selected behind another prospect.
